2019 Kia K900....Must go Faster Help

LOL! You have to use a program like LightRoom or others to export and save to a file size to be posted online. If you don't have that, use your phone, works great.

Wow! Looks good under there. You plan on getting some better tires or doing any suspension mods?

Those Michelin’s are GT tires though, not performance one. As you ramp up the power, getting some trippier and better performing tires is a worthwhile thing to do. Going is just one part of the equation, stopping is equally, if not more important than the going part. What did you get the output up to?

I haven't dyno'd yet but I'm guessing 425 WHP

Nice! Make sure you get some better tires if you plan on pushing that thing hard.

Hi Brent,

Considering a 2019 K900 and installing a LAP3 chip Uncle chip. Quick question: are those Michelin tires in your pix the stock all seasons? I am planing to dump the OEM tires for summer performance, probably Firestone Firehawk Indy 500, which have got great reviews.

Yes. Stock but I've not broken traction with them. Pretty sticky

That is good to know. I take it the performance is better and the ride and handling is still good with the stock tires.

The reason I was thinking about summer tires is a remark from Albert Biermann, the chief engineer for BMW's M performance cars, who was hired away by Kia. He said that the new K900 is "very nice with summer tires" when he was asked about the handling. In my 2 test drives of the K900 I found the steering feel of the car too remote. Good summer tires can sometimes fix that. My sense of the car is that its Stinger chassis just needs to be "woken up." The car is being purchased for business use, but I still like a little fun. BTW, I have owned lotus, Jaguar E type, 428 Super Cobra Jet Mustang with shaker hood, 911, list goes on.

I hear you. I seriously considered the K900 after wrecking the first Stinger but the dealer wasn't playing ball on prices. I found it to be quite a nice ride and my plan would have been to replace the tires for some UHP AS versions. I know full well how much tires can make a difference after ditching my OEM tires on the Optima Hybrid for some Grand Touring and then later some UHP AS. She also has lowering springs installed as well. Was my fun car until the Stinger came out, now the wife drive it.

Nice batch of rides you got there.

I have tried to company lease (almost $900!), or even buy a K900. Regarding a purchase, I was just quoted $56,500, but only if I use Kia Motors 4.75% financing (up to 66 months). If I go 0% financing with Kia, the dealer wants $60,000.

Kia seems determined that these cars only be used as showroom decoration.

BTW, if you purchase this 2019 K900 for $56,500, with a trade in of $25,000, and at 4.75% for five years, the interest paid is $3,950, per an online calculator per one of those online calculators. Kia gets back the $3500 rebate, plus another $450. But, I was told that after some small number of payments at 4.75%, and if you have the cash, you can pay off the Kia loan in full with no penalty. And you get to keep the majority of the $3,500 rebate. It's an odd marketing message for a company that mostly sells its cars to ordinary working folks.

Brent Barrett, were those BMS intakes they used on your K900

Did you just use the stinger K&N intakes? Did they require any modification?

Yes. Stock but I've not broken traction with them. Pretty sticky
Any updates on your build? Any advice to share? So it looks like we can borrow the intakes from the stinger which is awesome. Exhaust work will probably have to be all custom unless maybe a downpipe will fit?

There's just so little information on modifying the K900 out there it's really unfortunate

Literal handfuls of them were sold stateside, especially with the 3.3TT and the fact that anyone wanting something KDM that went faster would have gotten a Stinger or G70 does not help. Don't get me wrong. I've been in a 2019 and it is a damn good car. Does the Jb4 fit directly? I'd be curious what one did with that under the hood.

Yes...I agree. I did NOT buy the Stinger....I bought the K900. MUCH BIGGER inside and back seat is CRAZY nice. But best of all....It has the Stinger Drivetrain and 3.3L TT. :) Now...I'm looking for Modifications!!!
what about the K900 with the v8 will the JB4 tune work on that engine it dnt mention it anywhere
