My lead foot is heavy enough with the 2.0. Never drove the GT but was tempted. I’d love to add a JB4 just to help overcome turbo lag and Eibach sway bars for cornering, but with 2 in college, money has become scarce.

I would wind up dead. The JB4 doesn’t do much for the turbo lag, but the BMS pedal tuner is a god send. I highly recommend it.
And yes, with my lead foot, I don’t need a car that can push 150 mph... I would either end up dead or in jail. Or both!
I upgraded from an Optima 2.0T with basically the same engine. I only very rarely had my foot on the floor in the Optima, but do sometimes on the Stinger. Oddly, the Stinger feels slower -- but that could be an illusion caused by the fact that you pretty much can't spin the tires due to the AWD. And I agree that being my only/everday car, it's rare that I feel like I'd rather have more power, and then I remember the range and fuel economy penalty and the feeling goes away.I agree that the “should have gotten a GT” comment gets old really fast, but I have seen from most 2.0 owners on here that these cars are used as everyday drivers and I agree that the 2.0 is a much more practical option. Sure, I’d love to feel the power of the 3.3 when I step on it, but most of the time I am cruising on the highway and drive a lot for work.
Guessing the stinger is heavier than the optima and it would therefore feel slower. No idea, just a guess.Premium AWD, blue, ceramic paint protection and dealer installed remote start....also playing around with an always-on rearview camera to make up for the terrible rearview mirror field of view.

It is, but I didn't think it should be enough to be significant. Also, even though the engines look like they should be identical, the Stinger is rated with a little less power than the 2012 Optima was. A few percent here, a few percent there, I guess it adds up to being noticeable.Guessing the stinger is heavier than the optima and it would therefore feel slower. No idea, just a guess.
The one and only thing I actively dislike is the wheels, first chance I get I'm going to get nicer ones.
I have a 2.0, and I love it. It's Thunder Grey and completely factory stock. I'm not planning on doing anything to it either (not yet and I have no idea what I would even do anyway); it's plenty of power for me and the only thing I really miss relative to my old car is automatic wipers. Things I would have liked are the LKA (Lane Keep Assist), ACC and 360 camera, but they're not a huge deal. I'm really pleased with the Canadian 2.0.

Funny you say that.. I’m not in love with the 2.0 wheels by any means, but compared to the GT wheels, I like the 2.0 wheels better.
I feel similarly about these safety features. I have them all except the 360 camera also. The only ones I really use are the blind spot monitoring and collision warning. All others are off. Wipers are definitely annoying as are the auto headlights.I have the ADAS package with all those things you mentioned except the 360 camera. The only one I don’t get annoyed with is the auto wipers, tho they could use a little more fine tuning.
The high beam assist, while nice in theory, is finicky to the point of being distracting. It turns off high beams for stop lights, it turns em off for porch lights, it turns em off for dang near any reason (I’m waiting for a well moon-lit night to do it), often to the point of looking like i’m trying to erratically signal drivers ahead of me.
The ACC is neat and I like using it as a safety feature, but even at the lowest sensitivity setting, it just brakes way too soon and often. It also frequently misdiagnoses cars in adjacent lanes as in my lane and brakes for no reason.
Never tried the lane keep assist and I don’t plan to (read issues and I don’t need it as I don’t take the Stinger on long enough drives for it to be necessary).
I’ve got a second set of wheels with mounted Nokians on them for winter. They’ve been in storage since about March, otherwise I’d post pics. They’re a simpler spoke design that’s easier to keep clean in the winter. Got em for about $95 each at Discount tire. Wish I could remember the brand name. Sucks to get old. LolYeah its a subjective thing, but I’m w/ Mesmorino, I’m not crazy about our wheels. I like the spoke pattern and two-tone look of the GT wheels Better (Tho I’d still take nice aftermarket over either if I can afford it).

I've thought every cruise control I've ever used was overly aggressive with the acceleration. This is the first radar cruise control I've used, and has two issues that make it almost unusable in my opinion:Even the cruise control can be.... "surgy" at times. That is, if I'm at 50 and resume cruise control to 65, it'll accelerate past that (up to 70), then brake or coast back down. I've just been getting up to speed myself and then setting it, rather than letting it bring me up to speed
The distance and sensitivity issues are definitely annoying, but I've found it to be shockingly good at lane detection. I would have expected that going around a corner it would lock-on to cars in the next lane over, but nope. Never happens. The ACC is neat and I like using it as a safety feature, but even at the lowest sensitivity setting, it just brakes way too soon and often. I actually forgot it was included in my car until I'd had it a few days. It's fairly subtle ("why does it seem to be pulling...?" Alignment issue...?) and it works pretty well, but it isn't perfect. When it loses a center-line it has a tendency to yank left, which is not good....Never tried the lane keep assist and I don’t plan to (read issues and I don’t need it as I don’t take the Stinger on long enough drives for it to be necessary).

Welllllll.......that could be interesting. Kind of like when I got my car. Told the wife I was at the dealer getting the car she said I couldn’t get. LolAnnnnnd I just pulled the trigger on the Jun BL EVC Catback Exhaust...
Annnnnd I shipped it to my office so my wife doesn’t know...
Going to be really interesting to see her reaction when all of a sudden my car sounds like a Shelby GT overnight![]()
