Just looking to see some times for the 2.0L! Post your 0-60 and 1/4 mile times (Stock and Mods)

Looks like this thread never got going but here's mine anyway. This is with just an Injen Intake. Cold temp and RWD don't make for a good launch I still need to install my jb4 & magnaflow exhaust so I'll post the results whenever that may be. Screenshot_20210213-203905.webp

What elevation is that? Is that what the 126ft is?

Not far off from a stock 2002 Z28 with the 5.7 at 5280 elevation. At some point I will run both of ours to see who comes out on top...

Got a few runs in with the addition of the magnaflow today on my way home from work. I installed my jb4 afterwards so I'll try to get some results tomorrow. Map 2 seems to be running strong on 93 so we'll see what kind of gains I'll get.

Thanks for sharing the results with us. It is great to be able to see what the mods do for that engine. However, that just seems like a lot to not even be cracking 14 seconds in the 1/4 mile.

$250 gets a stock tune RWD GT2 deep in the 12s. Did you consider trading it for a V6 before you started modding it? It really sounds like the new 2.5 liter 4 cylinder will bring the 2022 models much closer to V6 level.

Over here in Singapore, the 3.3L costs over $200,000. Price aside, we’re an island state, so can’t really go fast without getting into trouble with the law or barriers/trees/other cars. We are also not getting the new 2.5L variant, although the JB4 with WMI has already solved that issue output wise. Already very happy with what’s been achieved without having to go with bigger turbo/intercooler/exhaust which is the usual route with forced induction rides. Did test the 3.3L and 2.0L back to back before deciding so I knew what was needed to get the 2.0L right.E964BC21-2358-4477-83F1-D8F68737D236.webp

Okay, so on my way home I pull over on the empty stretch of highway to get a map 2 run in. I get a hard launch & forgot I had the shifter in the manual position. Bounce of the rev limiter so I just let off. Cruised a ways to cool her down for another run. This time I get another good launch & for some reason she bogs & cuts power for a brief second then boost hits hard. I made the full run anyway & as you can see by my speed that that would've been a good time had the car not bogged down.

Made a third & final run but my launch wasn't hard at all. No wheel slip at all but as you can see from my 60ft the power was there. I think had I had a launch like the first run, my time may have been better. But 14.1 isn't bad for just intake, exhaust, & map 2.

That power cut may have been the plugs. Are they stock?

No, I upgraded them. That was the only time it did it. I made a few runs yesterday without it happening again. But I'll def send a log to Terry so he can take a look.

Good move.

I really believe with the right amount of $$$, the 2.0 could be tuned to do some damage but i still believe the 2.5 will really open the door with the '22MY.
