Hello all,

I recently installed a aftermarket boost gauge on the center vent of Stinger's dash. The aftermarket gauge has an option to changes it ambient color when 12v power is supplied to an addition wire on the wiring harness.
Currently the gauge is set to only one color due to it night having power to the other wire that controls this feature.

My questions is: Where can I pull power (12v) under the dash, that has 12v when the headlights are on?

Haven't found anything short of running a wire from headlight, through the firewall, then to the gauge itself.

Why can’t you run wire to the fuses near driver’s leg?
That’s what I’m looking for. A wire that I can tap into. Sorry I worded it weird

He's wiring a dimmer sense wire. It would need to only be live when the headlights are on. Let me look in the schematics

i dont see one in car. its all ran from the multifunction to the IBU, pull down circuit. then B-can network

I'm pretty sure I know who it is. I sold him the boost gauge adapter that I designed and manufactured

Thanks but I’d like to hear that from the OP.

I don’t get that from his posts.

But since I’m the village idiot. I not that bright.
No worries. I worded it odd. The gauge had a day time mode and a night time mode. Add power to one it’s day mode, add power to both is night mode. I want the ability for it to switch to night mode whenever the headlights turn on automatically.

Could you run a N/O relay that is switched by the multifunction switch or is that all in the can-bus system? I dont have schematics for this car.

If you run a 5v relay and tie to the multifunction output. Leave the input high on the relay and multifunction triggers low on output
