I’m going to put red leather with diamond stitching replacing the black seat inserts and will post before/after pictures. I assume I would have to have them perforated to make sure cooled/heated features still work right? Thanks

The 2018 GT2 AWD Silky Silver was my 1st choice in exterior color. It ONLY came with red interior - and that wasn’t happening! The wife and I aren’t a fan of the way Kia executed the color with no break in the back seat area. Too much red..... So our 2nd color choice was black, but once again ONLY red interior. Red car/black interior was my third choice. Kinda spend more time inside the car than outside looking at it. I honestly like ALL of the exterior colors on the car, and am disappointed in the limited selection of interior colors. To each his own..... enjoy your rides! db

Sorry to dig up an old thread but I see mention of the seats computers need to be swapped.

But can someone expand on the seats computers. If it has the same plug why wouldn’t it plug and play? Why does the seat have its own computer?

I was hoping to plug and play a Ventilated seat into a GT. Trying to figure out the obstacles. I know I’ll need the console switches. But this seat computer thing has me confused. I don’t t want to swap and find out I lose airbags or something.

Hilarious thread; totally missed this one too. Of course, I wanted black interior. While waiting in the showroom for my trade to be brought to me, I noticed some pale grey interior on a car and went, "Oops! Didn't think to ask about interior color; I hope my Silky Silver's interior is black!" And it was. Whew! I'm 99% sure that if I had asked Jerry Seiner to swap interiors they would have said NO! Hah.
