I learned that I kind of suck at working with the wrap, but it looks pretty damn good.

That is GENIUS, I would never have thought of that. I have a roll of that stuff in regular carbon black.

Heh, I like that a lot of people end up doing things I was thinking about so I can see what it might look like. Of course, mine weren't going to be red, they were going to be carbon fiber or just matte black to hide the stupid weather stripping I put on the bar, lol

All in it took me about an hour to do both with 0 previous experience. The bends were a little tricky. I just kept telling myself if I do it good once and take my time, I won't have to do it again!

I'm going to plastidip mine soon...

Will that hold up to the heat? I guess it's technically the same as vinyl wrap...

Actually, will the vinyl wrap hold up to the temps in the engine bay?

There are a lot of companies that offer a vinyl wrap on various parts in the engine bay. If it doesn't hold up, I'll just hydro dip it. But I live in Jack Frost's a**hole so I don't think it will matter.

It will be fine , I've done lots of wraps on body parts and the roof . the worst might be a bit of shrinkage on seams but those are unseen in Shocks project .................all good!!

The vinyl will probably be fine but the adhesive may loosen up enough to cause it to come undone. There are ways to deal with that..

Looks good, chamois all the dust out of the engine bay & it will really pop....lol

I like em! The only issue I have is that they aren't lying flat, I can see where the S in "Stinger" is hovering.

I'm glad someone did this as I had a few ideas I wanted to do with mine. I'm getting a CAI in sometime in the future and was planning on doing wrapping trim panels in carbon fiber and painting the bars and tubing red.

which is exactly what I did,lol.....but I didn't bother to redo it.....it's on and it's mine.
they call me a ''ten foot'' man............looks good from 10 feet away!!
