PRESSERtech Kia Stinger GT Dyno RESULTS!!

Has anyone else tried this? I’m more interested once sourcing can be found for a separate ecu bc my Logic would say that there wouldn’t be a way to discover any “alterations” to the stock Ecu.. I don’t want to screw w/ the warranty

Probably my only reservation on this, otherwise, this seems like the only tuner proficient/conservative enough to do this without necessitating hardware modifications with a moderate increase in boost.

Hi, yes, we can remove the speed limiter. Our mapping is much different than piggy backs. We adjust right up to the calibration of torque curve while still maintaining a safe table in ignition, boost, fuel table and flow delivery. As far as gapping plugs go, we still have not seen evidence on this, no opinion. We WILL adjust our opinion if issue arises. If you want to replace with a cooler plug or gap around .024 that us perfectly fine. We understand the mechanics of why everyone is asking us to do it. The last thing we would want to do is be blind on the matter. Our mapping is keeping the heat range of stock plugs in good order. We inspected the development car plugs after 400 miles snd saw zero evidence of failure. We are inspecting again most likely at end of next week as car approaches 3k miles with our upgrade
Been following this thread a while, great job, seems like you're the only tunner so far able to maintain factory hardware with a moderate increase in boost. Btw, do you have a dyno sheet that shows boost and afr? Also is the tune independent of drive modes? Would it be possible to limit tune to certain modes (i.e. Sport?)

Please keep us update as soon as you're able to source ecu, I'm very interested in keeping a factory ecu and a tunned one I can swap out.

Lastly any luck with tcu tuning or damper controls? If you guys crack this, I'm sure I will be the first of many lining up.

I’m really looking forward to mac’s results. I’m very interested in getting this tune myself but would like to see more people’s results first

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Yes, I did! :)
can't wait to see your impressions of it. I'm still waiting on the sidelines to get a separate ECU to tune so I can swap out ECUs instead.

I understand. My senior Kia tech friend told me there is no way for them to know if my ECU was tuned, so I am going for it with one ECU.

oh wow...now that's a much better response from a KIA person! lol...

Sure hope he knows what he is talking about, but the service manager said the same thing, so I shall see. However, I've had many of my vehicles tuned (actual ECU tuning, no piggy-backs or add-on ever) and never had a single problem, so I am not really worried.

Congrats! Can't wait to hear how everything goes!

Well, worst case, if something blew up and you were hoping for a warranty repair, you could delay long enough to get the ECU put back to stock...

There is always that, too.

I should add - I will be leasing at first, but that will not prevent me from modding. I'll obviously be keeping the stock parts..

I'm going to pull the trigger on this tune late next week while I am out of town. I'll simply drop my ECU off with FedEx Wednesday evening and re-install the tuned ECU when I return Sunday. I doubt I'll ever run it on a Dyno to know exactly how performance changed, but I will be happy to report on my feelings of exhilaration and occasional kills along the way.

Any updates?
