Joe come lately.....:)
Not really. I’m not clairvoyant so I had to wait for it to come from China! I posted within hours of evaluating it. Do better, I dare ya!

During the drive up here, I considered the problem and how to save a (what?) $4-$10 investment:

Cut off the built-in "rubber band" that interferes with a smooth operation of the seat belt and use a bit of glue instead to keep the cover on the buckle..
Will have to find a glue that sticks to plastic AND silicone.
I have not tried 3M tape with Adhesive Promoter, but a cursory check came up with these candidates:

SILICONE ADHESIVES:

https://www.amazon.com/Smooth-Sil-p...e=UTF8&qid=1523339791&sr=8-1&keywords=silpoxy
$22 for .5oz!

Devcon Silicone Adhesive
https://www.amazon.com/Devcon-12045...0670&sr=8-1&keywords=Devcon+Silicone+Adhesive
$7

"Two Permabond products that can be used together to bond silicone:
Permabond Polyolefin Primer and
Permabond 2050."

“Loctite does the job - any adhesive with cyanoacrylate (which Loctite has) will do the job...”

“Loctite 5033. Light (UV LED) cure. Prices vary depending on reseller. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0080IQTO...UTF8&colid=YYZ5DK1GJ3AO&coliid=I2HL2DE67O6CFW

“I just glued a silicone rubber pad back onto a plastic headphone using this product that's available on line: Dow Corning 3145 RTV MIL-A 46146 adhesive/sealant. I cleaned all surfaces up with denatured alcohol, wiped them down. When the stuff cures, it's the most dense, toughest silicone I've seen. Has a really aggressive bond. Durometer 45.6 Shore A. Tensile strength 864 psi. Unprimed adhesion - lap shear to aluminum 1900 psi.”

“Try this: Sil-Poxy™, Silicone Adhesive

“Silly Putty bonds instantly and tenaciously to silicone”

“Loctite "Ultra Gel Control" super glue can bond some types of silicone”

“Freesole urethane formula shoe repair.
Works great!” (Glue)

I may have some Loctite and 3M tape in my toolbox. We'll see...

Later! :)

You could try felt tape in black, cut to size and strategically stuck on for the best effect.

dont get carried away

Great examples of what could be done....love it.

As I am not close the car at the moment, maybe all it takes is to cut off what I call the "rubber bands".
Maybe the cover's stretch fit is sufficient and these bands are not really required? I'll try it out when I get home again.

I definitely don’t want to use a permanent glue on this. I’d rather just toss them, so far. Also, black wouldn’t be so cheap looking.
