Wife discovered chafing on the passenger seat, caused by the seat buckle, or more accurately the flash or flashing (sharp edges produced by the plastic molds where the 2 halves meet) around the black plastic on top of the belt buckle tongue.
I also hate how all safety belt tongues bang into the B-pillar right behind the front seats. In time the surfaces on the pillars will show the wear.
I found and ordered these silikon covers that should greatly reduce both deficiencies.

Thanks moinmoin for the heads up. Got them on eBay for 2.18 each. Looks helpful for when they clunk on the B pillar. I got four so they all match, never have a fifth.

So, I bought a set of red ones. I installed them and drove. The seat belt doesn’t slide through easily and it didn’t take long for the thinner silicone to bunch up and kinda jam. I took them off.
IMHO save your money and Black is the choice if you do it. The red just catches your eye and looks weird. The bunching was the reason I’m not just ordering a black set.

They arrived yesterday and I installed them today. Sigh, I wish I was clairvoyant, it would save a lot of money. They look nice for what they are but black will just blend in. See what you think, at least they were cheap.
