How much are you willing to pay? (lease)

See if anyone notices all the little bombs I am dropping. You are looking at December (possibly early December) for any Stinger to arrive at a dealership. The first catch right now is that the best way to get what you want is through pre-ordering. Pre-ordering pretty much right now will get your vehicle in on the first batch going out. Last catch, this all depends on the color because some are already here in the US but some other colors you will have to wait longer for (January of next year).

The bad thing is, not all dealerships are taking pre-orders. I know for a fact that my local dealerships aren't. I even went to them and waved a wad of cash in front of them. After they wiped their drool up, they politely declined. (And if any of my local dealerships happen to peruse this forum, I'm poking fun! I still want one!) Neither can we, nor they, pre-order online yet. Unless you are willing to sell me the one I want and have it shipped to me by one of those trucking companies that only ships those $1 million plus cars, with only 1 car in their trailer at a time and guarantees not a dent, scratch or spec of dust, for no extra charge. Otherwise, be prepared to get your head bitten off.

In case you were wondering, we can be sarcastic jerks. Especially when the Stinger is supposed to go on sale in less than a month and we STILL are fishing and trying to piece everything together. Beef jerkey... give me beef jerkey NOW! And a beer! Don't make us angry. You wouldn't like us when we get angry!

Haha, well put. Speaking Frankly not all dealerships will be able to sell the Stinger right away. No idea how long they will have to wait. The dealerships that can sell the Stinger have to be K900 certified and be important dealerships to Kia ( prestige dealerships I think is what they refer to them as). So I am not surprised that you had cash and they had no idea. That right there is what Kia is going to be worried about with this car. I am to change that and I am because I have taken several pre-orders, plus I know a lot on the car most don't know. Now I state even I don't know somethings because they just haven't put it out there yet specifically. I would say I know about 80%, but somethings could still be changed at Kia's whim.

What if we could work something out? I might be able to give you a nice piece of beef jerky, seriously.

Thanks for the info! So, do you know if the colors on the website are the only colors we'll get? Also, will it have heated rear seats, the 360 cam, and wireless charging? Doesn't seem the marketing is clear on that.

I've been talking to a sales person in my area since July and he just sent me a note yesterday. He told me dealerships will start getting Stingers in January and with sales beginning in February. And still no information on pricing. I guess my question for the forum is based off of the Cadenza limited at $45k+ do you guys think the same lease will be available.

Taken off of the Kia site for a Kia Limited:
Payment: $504 per month set
$2,504 Due At Signing after all qualifying offer(s) include
  • $2,000 Cash Down
  • $0 Trade-in
  • $504 First Month Payment
  • $0 Security Deposit

Not a snowballs chance in hell. At least not until this time next year, and even that is doubtful. Look at the fine print on that lease. They are giving you over 10k in "special lease cash." They are not going to do that for a brand new car that has very limited availability.

I'd definitely agree
Yeah, they probably have trouble moving Cadenzas so that's why they're offering so much. If we see any lease cash at all, it definitely won't be anywhere near that amount. I do hope it is at least a competitive lease though.

Be prepared for a very good lease offer on a base Stinger. No idea about money down and such, Kia has not released much on that.

Look at my statement a few back. If you pre order now and depending on what color and such you want, you can quite possibly see it early December and be part of the first to get a Stinger. Some colors they don't have in the US yet and will probably be like your salesman said, January and February.

This is music to my ears. Hopefully whatever offers are available for the base will be available for the other Stingers as well just having to pay extra for the difference in cost. I want a GT2. I wish I could preorder at my dealership. The lack of dark colors has me wanting to wait for a little bit anyway. I'm not thrilled with the colors on the website. I also would like to know what options are available before I order as well.

Panthera Metal is available and I can assist you with everything else if you want. I do work at a Kia dealership.

i'd like to have some assurance that December I'll be able to get a GT2 and I'm not to caught up on color more so than I am on just getting one. White is my preference though. I'm in the military and just got back from Korea so I was able to see the release of the Stinger in Korea. I will tell you it wasn't like it is here in the states.

You would have to pre order like right now and it depends on color as well. Kia wants the first pre orders to come to the dealerships at the latest early December. Some colors will be sooner then others. White is one of the colors already at port in the US.

You keep referring to preordering and I've been to 4 dealerships from South Carolina to GA and none of them have mentioned preordering as an option. How can you pre order something you don't even know how much it cost?

The GT2 you want is about $49,500. It isn't as hard as you are making it out to be. How my dealership is handling it is just going higher. Could it change, of course, this is at Kia's whim but that is a very accurate rough price. I have had several GT2 pre orders. We are putting you at about 55K otd. Why, it is much easier to tell you the price went down rather then up.

Base = roughly $32,000
Premium = roughly $37,000
GT = roughly $39,000
GT1 = roughly $43,500
GT2 = roughly $49,500

Is everything set in stone, no.

Patience, Grasshopper. You must follow the natural order in all that you do. Drive first, then order.
I can see your point. I think I'm at the point where a test drive would just be a formality. The reviews are great, and I doubt I'd find anything that would be a deal breaker in the ride. I love my Optima so this can only be better. My main concern is knowing the options, colors, and what lease deals were available. If I knew that, I'd order and not even be worried about a test drive. Unfortunately, it seems that they're not able to get this information out there in any reliable fashion.
