so the stock bov can u make it vent to atmosphere by just disconnect the 2 pipes and seal them up? (To keep stuff out of the intake) to create the same noise as an aftermarket bov? I have always wondered? And was looking to see thoughts of others.

I don't see why you couldn't this is actually on my to do list. Only question I have is will it cause a check engine light only one way to find out!! it'sharmless if it does cause a CEL just a little aggravation to reset it is all.

I took them off to try and holy crap there loud but I put them back on after. I was thinking some zip ties and duct tape could make a nice secure seal for some easy non expensive modding for some sound =]

did u get a check engine light or rough idle ? go to the parts store and get some expansion plugs for the intake tubes don't use duct tape !!! its a stinger not a civic !!! lol

For the 5 min I tried it sounded fine with no issues but I did not drive it but good idea with the expansion plugs I might give it a try

can you post a video?

I’ll be doing this tonight or maybe tomorrow tried it today at idle and a few revs seemed to be just fine the true test will be a test drive to see if I get a CEL. One of us can try and post a vid although I probly can’t figure it out lol or rev and record at the same time.

Tried to take a vid but vid file is to big =[ but I took it for a small drive but plungging the intake hoses is a must it sucks up so much air through them but I did not see any problems and sounded ok

Good advice this will be done very soon shoulda grabbed the expansion plugs at work today damn it !

Update: my guys will be bringing me the expansion plugs tonight I cant wait any longer !!!

Well I have confirmed it NO CEL 30 miles of normal driving and hard driving and nothing not a stumble ,boost pressure unaffected and perfect idle. nice little blow off on throttle let off just right not to much like my subi did just enough to make ya smile when ya hear it !!!

Cover the ends of the rubber hoses?
Yes the hoses lead directly to the air intake if u don’t plug them unfiltered air will be sucked into the turbo( I should state this is all still a test and to do at your own risk because I’m no mechanic this is just working In theroy)

Got it thank you. Might give it a try till my Intakes come in. Sound pretty good in your video.

I did both Bov and plugged both one to the left one to the right no point to do just one !!
