Finally got some exciting news about my bi-modal exhaust I've been waiting for since last December. Dealer confirm that my bi-modal will be available for installation for this Friday. Woo hoo !! Finally my Stinger will have more of a rumble instead of a whistle.

Definitely. Sounds great on take off and gearing down with paddles. In higher gears not so noticeable.

Any chance of someone putting together a video of the exhaust noise in different modes/ in cabin etc. I know it’s a big ask but it would be great to get a better idea of how it’s sounds. My dealer has basically said no option to hear before you buy in person which is a bit disappointing for such an expensive accessory.

I suggest you go to another dealer. Give them a call to find out if they have equipped their demo.

Test drove a demo fitted with the Bi-modal exhaust today (at Blackburn Kia) when I picked up my car. Sounds throaty on idle and take off, but cuts out quickly. Also sounds okay when you boot it or when gearing down manually. I formed the opinion that the temptation to either drive permanently in manual mode or to use heavy acceleration just to hear the grunty sound, would be too great for me (tickets). Although it is a border-line decision, I am glad I deleted the exhaust from my purchase in view of the cost.
And I apologise for not getting video, but I was pre-occupied with the delivery of my new car.

Hoping you enjoy driving your new car. What color did you get? Mines Deep Chroma Blue.

You’ll soon turn off lane assist when driving as it will drive you nuts with the self correcting. It’s a tad too sensitive.

I also got the DCB which is as good as I had hoped. There is so much to play with in the car that I am sure it will take me weeks to set it up the way I want it.

The colour looks great and contrasts to a purple in certain light.

The auto hold is a fantastic feature.

Hi - anyone know if there is a software update needed to enable the Bimodal exhaust to work between the different drive modes? I’m trying to get answers from Kia UK as to whether or not it’s compatible with UK spec cars (as drive modes are different here) and also what the warranty situation would be if (a big IF......) I was able to get one shipped over and fitted here.

I have been told there is an ECU change also, so I'm guessing that comes with the purchase.

It's great that your Stinger sounds much better, is there a chance you could make a short video and post it here, do you know how long it took to install, im guessing you have to leave the car at the dealer at least half of the day?

Left mine the whole day to get mine done.

Towbar fitting also takes 5 hours apparently.
