I can't stress that enough. It ensures the files downloaded copied match bit for bit to what was uploaded. That's why I included the checksum file.I wasn't able to get that done.
I'm simply incapable of it. I still have the files (thanks). I will have someone do it for me.I can't stress that enough. It ensures the files downloaded copied match bit for bit to what was uploaded. That's why I included the checksum file.
Same archive was shared with one other on here who updated successfully.
I had a friend who was capable try and check the file but the problem really comes down to Google drive. Google drive exploded the downloads into all of the individual files so there was no all encompassing file to run the Sha 1 against. The service manager at the Kia dealership has very little knowledge and tried to download the zip file with only 25Gb left on his C drive so that was a fail. He say's he's going to get IT to unload his hard drive some and try it again. We'll see. I'm currently trying to download the files to my Chromebook but it looks like it's segmenting the download again.I'm simply incapable of it. I still have the files (thanks). @JSolo was kind enough to upload the files for me to dropbox (I started a free trial to gain the necessary storage space). I can PM you a download link. I just need to do some housekeeping with them first (remove a suffix Dropbox added) and get them to an accessible location. 23 files and a checksum file in a single folder on your device is the goal. I installed free software hashcheck and once installed you double click the file and it will verify them in a window. Updating seems to be freshly format in FAT32 a usb stick. Then copy 23 files to the root (first directory) that opens. Don’t copy the hashsum file obviously.I had a friend who was capable try and check the file but the problem really comes down to Google drive. Hi MisterLimey. I'd sure appreciate it.@JSolo was kind enough to upload the files for me to dropbox (I started a free trial to gain the necessary storage space). I can PM you a download link. Turns out I cannot private message yet because I am too new of a member- Are you able to initiate private messages with me?Hi MisterLimey. I'd sure appreciate it.
The actual download is 80 GB? or it needs that space to assemble the final tarballs? The last update from '24 (or '25 via nudl) was around 50GB.Downloading it to a USB stick now. Temp location need 80+ GB FFS. Have to do all this on a VM as I don't have any windows systems at home anymore. I don't intend on being a guinea pig though so I may wait to apply it.
I think the actual download is smaller but my guess it wants 80gb of free space to download and extract. The actual download is 80 GB? or it needs that space to assemble the final tarballs? The last update from '24 (or '25 via nudl) was around 50GB.
Speaking of windows, im using my laptop as a guinea pig to try out linux. Wasn't impressed with mint - too simpleton. Now messing with tuxedo os. Complete 180. I will miss my Foxit pdf editor. Masterpdf is close, but is retarded in different ways (ie, alt button doesn't trigger menus). I am impressed with the overall memory footprint and direct console access. Getting the UI right has been a pita. At least ddc-util (over i2c) works directly to change inputs on this lg monitor lacking any auto input detection and software control. Will also miss winrar to directly view file contents quickly.
