In case you were wondering what the Kia Stinger "E" badge represents... The E logo symbolizes the maximized performance of its rear-wheel driving. It also stands for the company's new theme "'Engineered by Excellence." Aside from that, the logo means Exclusive, Exquisite and Evolutionary. The new logo symbolizes the car's new premium line-up. However, this logo will only be available in its domestic South Korean market. When it's shipped internationally, the car will have its normal Kia logo. They feel the regular Kia badge attracts more people than just the "E" logo.

Thank you for your explanation so I finally know what E represents. I agree with kia thinking Kia badge will attract more attention than just E nobody knows nothing about although unknown badges sometimes attract more attention than what you see on the road every day.

One badge or the other - the first thing you see is the car itself and this one looks pretty cool. The Stinger's design will attract attention. Who cares about a badge?

i've never been a fan of the ugly kia badge. and it's like having a big pimple on an otherwise attractive face. the stinger just looks to good for that homely badge imho. same goes for the ford gt. it's a beautiful car but that cheap looking ford badge doesn't do it justice. luckily for ford, somebody was smart enough to keep that badge so small you might not notice it on the front and the took it off the back altogether.

Just wondering, how do you know this?

Quote from Automotive News (http://www.autonews.com/article/20170417/OEM03/304179925/kia-tests-higher-tier-in-home-market):

Kim Chang-sik, executive vice president in charge of domestic sales, announced the new strategy while unveiling the Stinger to the home audience at the Seoul auto show this month.

...

In South Korea, the Stinger will also dump the traditional oval badge with KIA spelled in capital letters. It is nowhere to be seen on the car. Instead, the Stinger gets a stylized E ringed by a circle. The E's top and bottom lines represent the four wheels, while the middle crossbar is supposed to symbolize the longitudinally aligned powertrain of its rear-wheel drive layout.

The letter E might also stand for engineering, excellence and exclusivity. "The value we would like to express through this emblem is that the Stinger is engineered by excellence. The Stinger is indeed the essence of engineering," Kim said. "Stinger is a special car for the selected few. So, it is exclusive," he said.

lol, that video is epic

Instead of making up a pretty random badge to be used in only one market, why doesn't Kia just rethink their horribly boring main badge? It's the perfect time to do it since they're doing a great job of not putting out garbage cars anymore. They should have shed the old logo with the old models, but better late than never. Come up with something new or just steal the one that everyone's been swapping for several years from the internet, or Keen Design's shield emblem.
