Is anyone using the Rain-X Silicon Endura wiper blades on their Stinger?
I just bought a set and the latch doesn't lock. It supposedly fits the standard small J-hook of the Stinger, but after the blade is attached to the J-hook, the plastic lock on the wiper blade won't close (the factory blades have a similar lock).
Is there some trick I'm missing? Or does this blade just not really work?
I don't know if my rainx blades match your model type. but I was having no success getting them in at the o'reilly where I bought them. the clerk came out and clicked them in immediately. so I wasn't doing something right. if I were home having aggravation like you, I'd go to an auto parts store and have them look up the blades and see if they are for the stinger. then stand aside and let them put them in. blades kick my trash more often than not. I don't know why each time I put a set in it feels like Ima doing it for the first time.
Not exactly sure which model Rainx wiper blades I have but they are complete trash imo. Usually, any wiper is much better than the factory ones but I bought the Rainx ones earlier this year because the rubber on the factory ones ripped. While they fit just fine, everything else is bad. Left streaks from the get go, they "grab" the window and make a horrible sound.
I got fed up and ordered a new set of factory wipers from Kiapartsnow.com they're supposed to be here today. Even with shipping, they were cheaper than what paid for the Rainx ones. Plus the stock ones just look cleaner to me when not in use.

Hope they'll be cheap the next time I need to purchase a pair. Btw, the set I had were Rainx advantage. Paid like 60 some bucks for them at AutoZone. The stock ones, even with shipping, which was a lot, were still 20 bucks cheaper. A win/win.

I replaced the stock wipers with just the inserts only 5 months ago. I always hate to throw away perfectly good wiper arms and prefer to use inserts.
But the driver's side factory insert is already streaking after just 5 months and 2,000 miles, which is why I wanted to try something else. I've used Rain-X products before on other cars with great results. I don't understand why the Rain-X blades couldn't latch onto the factory arms. I tried both sides, and neither worked.
Oh well, there are worse things in the world than using the OEM inserts. At $8.59 each they're certainly cheap enough, and it keeps the factory look.

Nothing. I’d prefer to keep using the original arms with new inserts. I just wish I could find higher quality inserts than the OEM ones. I installed new factory OEM inserts just 5 months and 2,000 miles ago, and one is already streaking and in need of replacement again.

go with Bosch. I’ve tried RainX, Michelin and Bosch. Michelin from Costco didn’t even last streak free for more than a few months. The RainX were a little better but not much. IMO, no other brands compare to Bosch. They’re some of the most expensive, but at $29 a pop, you’ll be streakless and worry free for years. And no install issues. We use them on all our vehicles now - 2023 Stinger GT2, Mercedes SLK 350, and Dodge Journey GT. Install and forget about them for several years.
