So bought this 2018 Stinger GT2 in 2020 with 15000mi. Racechip first then JB4 since it reads settings on the fly and changes instead of just changing them like the Racechip. Got appx 67hp....about 10 more than Racechip..air intake, plugs and blow off valves. After all this probably used Launch control 4x to have a laugh and see how it feels. Awesome. Since then w chip and parts I only really get on it from time to time..passing cars on highway..getting from 1 light to next quickly but not off line..after rolling..Well..its now 2023 and 68000mi...going down the road one day at 35mph and cruising....I hear a f&*%ed up noise from the car....a bad wobble feeling under front feet and bad low drone noise...pulled over immediately as I'm not naive to immediate car warnings or issues from working on cars throughout my lifetime..and know when you hear something and feel it...pull tf over.Towed do my mechanic..wish i took a pic...but on AWD the front end of the front driveshaft had its holes from the U joint elongated to the point of splitting, if I kept driving who knows what can happen...eg...drive shaft snaps from front..hits pavement..gets stuck...goes through firewall, floorboards or trans or hurting passengers. At highway speeds which I mostly drive could have been devastating. Tell me...anyone else experience this yet? The U joint btw was perfectly intact. It seems the steel surrounding the holes for the 4 bolts elongated. I bought a used KIA one w 33k for 126 shipped..half price of new one. Installed 226 total so I'm not that upset and am trading it for a Genesis G80 in 2years. Want the same power..but the luxury to go along with it at my age and the reliability of Genesis.
Anybody else experience this?

I belive someone on this forum had similar problem a while ago. And I think it was a front driveshaft as well. Can you post a picture of the damaged section? Failed driveshaft on freeway is very scary scenario. I am glad you caught it in time.

im sry no..my damn fault..but..if u took the 3ft shaft off and took a pic.. there are 4 bolts that hold it on each end....of the 4 bolt holes..the front part of the driveshaft facing radiator..had 3 of the 4 holes elongated..hope this helps..made them oval to the point of splitting..U joint was perfect which is what you would think to fail first.

Were those bolts loose? How else could those round holes become oval.

The 3.3 makes a TON of torque when tuned, maybe 40k miles with all that extra torque finally caught up?

I had a front cv axle bearing failure (leaked its lube out), at ~5500miles. But this is different from the op's issue. My guess the bolts were not torqued sufficiently. And/or the extra power was a contributing factor.

Note, kindly add linefeeds to your wall of text in the future to improve readability.

Thank you for the heads up!

I talked to mechanic...part was on the floor was in a pile of parts and I mostly remembered the mounting holes. He reminded me and now I recall...the steel around the u joints elongated, cracked and failed 1st..u joint was in perfect condition....holes for mounting elongated and were about to fail but I pulled over. He said a wrench was needed to take the 4 bolts off. Must have slipped.

Which is more readable?
Ok teacher..i get it now...like i said..i don't post anything to any sites ever..as u can see...looks much better broken up. Not most people do this on the internet as a majority but come to think of it..on certain reviews..posts etc.. much easier to read..as for your "for real" comment and your bored..just help us new people posting to educate us for the future..appreciate it.

I thought it was common knowledge/netiquette to post in a manner which increases the likelihood of generating responses to one's query.

With today's mobile devices, perhaps the render engine on a tablet or phone condenses text to include fewer words per line, improving readability¿?

I will say this, posting on a forum (and most online mediums) is NOT the same as having a chat via text message. Perhaps english is a second language for you and you're not familiar with the nuances of proper grammar.

I tend to generally skip over posts that include WOT (wall of text). The only reason I even clicked this one was the subject as I have an AWD car and suffered a form of front axle failure 2.5T awd front diff leak @ 5400 mi .

You good, just ignore that guy.

Personally I'm more concerned about the rear flex coupling, odd that the front went bad. Must have been bad torque from the factory and it finally let loose.
