So I'm looking to tune my Stinger in the near future but I have no clue which one to go with (JB4, LAP3, or Lozic). Another Stinger owner in my area runs LAP3 and said to do my own research and come to a conclusion but information on what the actual differences are is seemingly scarce. Anyone with each know what the exact differences are and the pros and cons to each are? I know that JB4 runs more boost than LAP3 but is making similar power and that's about where my knowledge ends. I have a 22 GT1 AWD with an AEM CIA rn if that information helps.

The JB4 is the most popular tuner for the Kia Stinger for a reason. Follow the link to learn more!
i dont understand, why do they just not build the car with the tuner already? if you can make your vehicle better by tuning it, why not just make the car better in the first place.
i wonder, what long term effects does using a tuner have on your car/car parts. there must be a reason they dont come from the factory this way.

This scenario applies to any performance car though lol. Once you feel the stock performance oriented power, you seek more. Its no different than a person wanting to tune a GTR or a 700hp stock car. And most notable tuners always have disclaimers stating not intended on public roads etc. Which we all know we skip lol.

Best bang for buck is JB4, safest as well if youre concerned about warranty.

Lap3 is on the higher end in cost but probably have the strongest tune while Lozic is following pursuit as well.

Fuel efficiency and comfort are why. Not power

The answer to your question is a bit complex since the best option would depend on the needs of the driver. I personally suggest sticking with the JB4 because it is reliable, easy to install, and has great customer support. We have this kit available with Bluetooth and spark plugs on our website HERE. If you have any additional questions, you can reach out to me in a private message at any time.

The JB4 runs as much or as little boost as you want given it comes with 7 maps plus a user defined map. :) You can change maps with your phone or if you want via the intermittent wiper speed dial.

I value more touge style driving but also want to hold my own in a straight line when necessary if that makes sense. I also don't intend on drag racing ever or have any interest in it.

I would not buy the jb4! Mine lasted 4 months I bought the fuel wires and boost wires and Denso plugs all in $700 bucks. It overboosted the constantly on map2 putting my car in limp mode then one morning I started my car it idled at 300 rpm to 600 rpm and the car would die. Thankfully I have a nother car whent to work came back home started the car 300 rpm 600 rpm die would not stay running. I then i remove the jb4 removed every wire fuel boost obd2 started the car ran perfect. Sent log to jb4 said masterchip whent out would not warrant the masterchip had buy new one 25 bucks installed chip put jb4 back on car was f up again took off jb4 never installed again asked for a refund they only have 1 month warranty I now have a $700 dollar papper wight

I have JB4, Map 7 with WMI and knock wood no issues for over a year. I think the JB4 is a good value. Before WMI I was running map 2 and no issues there. Unfortunate that some people have issues, but by and large I think most have a good experience with JB4.

From what I’ve read over the years JB4 issues are generally self inflicted. I installed mine within a couple thousand K of brand new. I had 1 brief problem after I installed my secondaries and EWG’s. Yes, it was self inflicted. JB4 is your best value, plus you can sell it when you’re done.

I ran one on my Stinger for nearly 20k miles with no issues. I have one on my S5 now. When I first got it there was a problem with updating the firmware. They sent me a new motherboard free of charge and it's been solid since installation 13k miles ago.

They all seem to offer a unique set of qualities.

Lozic = The most options for an ECU/TCU/AWD tune at one really good price

I installed my JB4 at about 5,000 miles I have over 88,000 miles running mostly map 3 and never (knock on wood) have had a issue.

80k miles!
I’ve only daily map 1. Good to know map 2 shouldn’t be a problem.

I ran my 18 with JB4 on E30 no issues, put on my 23 I have yet to get the JB4 running correctly, thinking of going Lap3 this time. I like the EK1 Pro for the monitoring but hearing bad things about heads lifting

The only heads that have lifted from sxths tunes so far is one guy on facebook who was purposefully trying to push his car past the known limits because he was gonna upgrade the headstuds anyway. @AWDGT2 has one of the fastest stingers in the world and is tuned by them, and is an extremely knowledgeable guy in general. Between my EK1 Lite, TCU, and ECU tune from sxth, im at about the same cost of a base stage 1.5 tune without any options, and Sxth will keep working with you till your car runs exactly the way you want it too. Between that, and having several other Tuning company on the EK1 Platform already as well, its pretty much a no brainer.

that’s what I thought too. I am ordering the EK1 Pro today.

Wow that is a horrible experience, I’ll take note.
