Would be super nice if your company would use the EK1 Device for ECU/TCU Flashing, then we could very easily switch back and forth the different MAPS, and the map revision process would be a lot faster via email and not the old nail mail....... Just an idea.
Also, the numbers he provided me indicate about a 20% increase in power whilst running his tune with full E85 over stock ECU w/ 91.
AND apparently he is running 100% E85 without the upgraded HPFP, just stock with his tune. He stated that he will be going with CPI, I believe, and that the HPFP isn't even a consideration, apparently.
Yes, that is correct. There is actually a few different tuners using the EK1 Platform. But, if you have the correct software & plugins, anyone can use the EK1 Platform to flash the ECU/TCU.

Lozic and lap3 wouldn’t offer that anytime soon because those two has some special sauce for the adaptation values in the ECU that no one else has. But it doesn’t matter if you’re running backend flash with extra timing and JB4 to adjust boost as needed or just an aggressive full tune with CPI/WMI to max out the octane requirement all the time.

So if you set up your TCU like you have explained above 1st and second will be way “short shifted” way to much. I did my first TCU at -13% and it was too early. What I failed to realize is the paddle times you have above actually makes the actual gear shift around 5,800-6,000.(all gears) So you do not want to set it up like you have it above. At least I already made that mistake for you. Is your only Tune JB4 and if so what map?

I definitely have compared dragy runs. I have now owned a -13, -11, -9 and currently on -7. (Yes I know I’m crazy!) 1st paddle pull at 4,900 actual shift 5,800-6k
2nd-4th etc. so most gears are same ACTUAL shift point but different paddle pulls. The fastest g70 in the world target if actual shift is 5,900-6,200. And most other fast ones say actual shift they target is 6k. Wow well hopefully I made sense.

-13% is usually for people with tuned ECU and pump gas alone. The highend output for tuned ECU with tapered boost curve plus 4-6 degree timing pull will make highend output pathetic, hence short shifting makes it faster. Since you’re able to run map4 I assume your log is fairly clean and the highend power is there. You wouldn’t regret -8% especially if you’re going to CPI route in the future.

That amount of weight reduction will show up best in the corners on a race track. Straight line acceleration will be effected, but it may barely be measurable. I don't think you'll see a tenth drop at stock power levels due to the vehicle already being over 4K pounds. It's a drop in the bucket.

Interesting, the car has a JB4 running map4 on E30, with a TCU tune -8 pressure 1, intakes, secondary DPs, and a Maintec catback the car in map3 is faster than a 2018 392 with intake and exhaust, 40 to 120 I was ahead by a car. Couldn't try map4 with him due to traffic.
I also bought sway bars front and rear, haven't installed them yet

Cuz map4 just supposed to be fast. My map4+meth without BEF is already 50/50 comparing with lozic 1.5+meth. With BEF my map3 is 3mph faster than lozic 1.5 now.

I'm sorry, I'm saying that you won't lose straight line speed on just 80 lbs unless you are tuned also. Even so, 80 lbs will not see a tenth of a second drop in a straight. The car is too heavy for that weight to be felt on that metric.
However, around corners on a track, you should see a difference. The TCU Tune is making the difference on your straight line acceleration.

So what you are saying is to save the money for more performance mods? Make the car faster by adding power and not removing weight. I just saw IMR turbo kit and they are claiming 900Whp, I'm not sure if that's possible or the transmission can handle that much power but a G80 AWD with 900whp that's a weapon of mass distraction.
