currently cross shopping a 2023 gt line and K5 GT, both have the 2.5 engine. the stinger is AWD however so probably puts the power down better, any concerns with the engine in the stinger before i decide and make my choice?

2.5T has been a great choice for me, needing to balance economy vs. spirited driving joy. This engine is both port injected and direct injected. The Stinger is my DD and Im doing 25k miles annually- mostly for work. The JB4 will give you a bit more giddy-up, esp. if you have access the E85, but there’s little aftermarket compared to the 3.3TT. I couldn’t kill an Audi RS7 w/25k miles a year, prolly my dream car 5/6 years down the road, when I can slow down job wise…

The stinger is based on a RWD platform. The engine is longitudinally mounted and fairly rearwards. It's a very well balanced car.
For me this is enough to not even compare it to the K5.

18+ Months later, no complaints here.
The k5 gt does come with 19" wheels vs 18" on the stinger. The roads around here are crap so this is actually a benefit.
A fully load k5 is around $37K USD (gt w/ gt1 package). Fully loaded stinger gtline (w/ the sunroof package but not the apex package or awd) is $40,1K USD. So more or less in the ball park. Question is which car will get the better deal. Can one score the loaded stinger at the k5 price....
