Which is the better tire? What is your experience as they seem pretty comparable.

Which did you decide with? I voted General G-MAX RS as I ran them on an '08 TL Type-S and they were a fantastic value. Great dry/wet performance, solid comfort, and seemed to last pretty long @ 360AA treadwear. Only nitpick was they had a bit more tire noise than equivalent Continental/Michelins, but that wasn't a big deal for me.

Never ran the Firehawk Indy 500s, but I know they have historically been considered the poor man's Michelin Pilot Sport summer tire.

Edit- TireRack's testing is a nice data point. Looks like Indy 500s are better for dry track performance, and the G-Max RS are better for wet performance and daily driving.

I ended going with the Firestones. I have had G-Max on my 330ci. They (Firestones) feel horrible in the cold before they warm up, but I guess that's expected with a summer tire ‍♂️

Yeah that's all summer tires. The softer compound is not great under 40F
