It’s VERY time consuming to care for if you don’t want it to slowly turn gloss in spots. The reason matte paint is matte is essentially because the surface is textured and scatters light. That surface is prone to becoming smooth unless you’re very careful.

Everything becomes a chore and it detracts from the enjoyment of the vehicle.

I would just get a regular silver car and have the entire thing wrapped in Xpel Stealth instead.

From my understanding, you don’t. You do localized repainting if it’s bad enough.

The biggest thing was to make sure bugs didn’t have time to sit on the paint. You’d use a special matte care soap to remove them daily. Otherwise they began to fuse to the paint.
