HI! New to forum and already having to ask a question about damage to my Stinger. Bought a 2018 GT1 with 20,000 miles, perfect condition 3 months ago. we were at our camp and a kid hit my car with a go kart at a pretty fast speed. The bottom part of door is damaged and will send a pic. i did submit a claim and the first quote at the collision center stated that I needed a new panel only. Now a new quote saying that I need a new door. Did go to another center as well which upon inspection they believe panel only as well, granted this is only by visual and neither have taken door off to check. Pretty frustrating not knowing in which direction to go. Any suggestions? Trying to pay out of pocket as opposed to insurance claim. Not sure if that makes a difference. Thanks,

Hi Shannon. Welcome. Just letting you know that I moved this topic out of our community lounge and into the Stinger area...

Hi, Shannon. I am assuming that the door opens and closes without issue: no need for a door replacement. I wonder if paintless dent removal can be applied here. Yes, I see the already missing paint, but the technique might work to straighten out that edge, then you can touch it up and see if that satisfies: if not, then a body shop repair will of course cost enough to hurt. Good hunting.

Thanks! Door opens and closes with no issues. Great suggestion! I will check on dent removal and retouch. $2,500 when I am fairly sure there is no need for a new door is too much! Can think of many more fun upgrades for the Stinger for that price!
