What cool feature from a former car do you wish your Stinger had?

I don't know maybe mines jacked. When I hit the unlock button, it only unlocks my driver's door.

If you're talking about on the fob, hit the unlock button twice to unlock all doors.

2020 Dodge Charger RT
2020 Subaru WRX limited
2020 Nissan Maxima

That illustrates my point. Like the Optima in your post, those are $30-35k cars. They need the extra light to supplement their headlights because they're relatively cheap vehicles. In the case the Subaru I wouldn't be surprised if it came with a 36" lightbar on the roof, since it's touted as a rally vehicle.

Since when do cars only come with stuff they need?

It isn't a case of need vs not needed. It's about what consumers are willing to spend extra money on and what will make someone walk away. I get that you like em, but if 90% of buyers are fine with the light the headlights provide there's no incentive for auto makers to spend more and increase the vehicle's price to make the remaining 10% happy. And if it isn't a deal breaker, as is the case with your car, they have even LESS reason to run them. Those other features you mentioned are available on competitor cars AND are deal breakers for many consumers, so obviously Kia will offer them.

Plus, the car just looks better when it doesn't have massive unused areas with nothing going on, plenty of blank space for fogs.

I agree with that, in most cases.

this is a setting you can change in the cluster settings.

I paid 36k brand new for the Stinger. It's a base awd gt. The Charger was a lil bit cheaper, the WRX was 33k and the Maxima was 38-40 for the upper level trims, hence why I went with the Stinger. So as I said, basically the same price range as the base V6 Stinger or the 4 cylinder. The headlights on the Stinger are good on regular roads but for me, they are inadequate on the roads leading to my job. All kinda manner of animals like to dart out onto the road. Cats, rabbits, raccoons and even skunks. Have come extremely close to hitting skunk's on numerous occasions. Was never an issue in my other cars. It's a problem in the Stinger because it doesn't give enough light down close to the road. It's extremely annoying. The only real option is adding the Led strips by the vents, which are 400 bucks then I'd have to pay somebody to install them without f*cking up the bumper and installing everything properly.

I'm sure I'm in the minority on this (always am ;) ) but I get what you're saying.

Are you referencing the drls that one of the members here created? There's surely mucho mucho cheaper fog light options on Amazon. But finding someone who cares enough about not f*cking up other people's car during installation might be a difficult task.

I love the look of fog lights and the extra light the put up close to the vehicle... I do miss them but i don't want the aftermarket look either...

The DRLs, yes, that's what I mean. I wouldn't want some cheap ass Amazon fog lights. Would like something factory, integrated into the car. The DRLs are the best option but I don't have the know how to install them.

Not hard at all, BTW. I did it in about 4 hours, on ramps (so I wouldn't have to bend over so much).

The wiring was annoying but I had to probe all my pins because the instructions don't take into account the 2022.

They are an awesome addition to the car.

Not hard and wiring do not go hand in hand with me.

Yes, they do look amazing and the next best thing to having actual fog lights. I'd bet they'd do the trick for me adding additional light to where I need it. If and when I get the money to buy them, you're more than welcome to
come up to MN to install them for me ;)

Yea, I just looked and you're right. Don't get them from Amazon.

From a tech standpoint, the trim I had is similar to what the Stinger offers.

Only notable differences I'd be happy to have back...

1) Adaptive headlights [going around corners in the city at night this is helpful]
2) OnStar with remote start and other controls [I had one more year free left on my old car, but would never pay for this]

The one item I'd pay a couple hundred more if offered would be cooled seats, mostly because desert. 8 months of the year I wouldn't care. The next trim up from the GT was a few thousand and had pros/cons (things I wanted, did not want).

I miss the nationality flags. :(
Australian delivered Stingers don't get the UVO telematics system, so we retain our sunglasses holders.

No, it is not. Is it there on your 2022 GT2? My 2022 is a North American version.
And too many forum members don't bother putting their location in their post info.
