Undercarriage protector???

This weekend I managed to destroy my SECOND air deflector at 145mph. Ripped in half longitudinally, zip ties to the rescue.

I know for a fact it was installed correctly, I think the air pressure at speed warped it enough to pull out the cheesy plastic rivets. I'll probably buy another OEM part, but will be looking into more positive attachments, since I think those plastic push rivets are the weak link.

Mine flipped inside out going around 90 or 100. I'm pretty sure it was up above the bumper cover but it was missing a few fasteners.

In fact, add me to the club of missing bolts on the transmission half of the deflector. Either the dealer forgot to reinstall them or they fell out.

I am on my fourth wheel arch fender liner thing. None of the times it was the liners fault, they stayed on until I damaged them lol. And I sure hit some high speeds (in Mexico). My advice would be to use new plastic rivet clip things every time you take it off. Oh and don't pay someone $75 to install it, it's not even that hard

This thing is secure. As long as none of the attachment points are missing or loose.

seems like such a common issue, someone needs to jump on the opportunity and make something that is less likely to fold in 2.

i still have not installed one since my o.e cover ripped to shreds.

They are a must for those with cf hoods. Without it too much air gets through the big gap and shakes the hood.

1/4 inch sheet of HDPE or ABS, trace and cut. Maybe a 48" x 48" sheet, I would have to measure.

Where's the cheapest place to get these? a puddle took mine out..

They're "cheap" online (~$200), but the shipping is absurd (~$300).

I paid $270 for a new one from the dealer.

what could really go wrong without having the second panel? because both the first and second got ripped of for me
Well your transmission pan is pretty open without the 2nd cover
And weather attrition. And probably aerodynamics, should you ever go fast enough to find out that the stability is compromised.
