I wasn’t always a fan of Kia because of their reputation in the mid 1990’s but as an adult I decided to buy an Optima. Not only was it a hybrid but it was sporty looking and beautiful inside, all white leather!
Not only is you quality of this leather straight garbage, but Kia had the audacity to put the blame on me! Oh and did I mention that I, a 42 year old man, was given a lesson on how to properly sit inside my car from the Service Manager at my local Kia?!
The damage to my seats, which happened right away, wasn’t my fault. It wasn’t an “outside influence” that caused the color to rub off, it was the cheap quality of this “fake” leather. I think Kia expects their customers to levitate into the car so that they don’t touch the seat at all, I don’t see any other way to prevent the damage from happening.
I’m a very clean and strict car owner, I don’t ever even eat in my car! It’s a 2019 and the car still looks visually brand-new. (Except from the ugly damaged seats) So for Kia to put the blame on me, it’s inexcusable!
Anyone have any similar experiences? Did this happen to your leather? I’d like to hear your stories!!!
