Stinger GT Arrivals in Australia

FYI Harlequin, I read you were in Brisbane like myself. Well today I was notified by Kia that my Stinger had arrived in the country on Friday, so should be at the dealers any day now.
I would assume your car would be on the same shipment. Fingers crossed!

I was just updated by Kia that my has changed to unscheduled again today. 14 months now and still no closer. Apparently a lot of Kia cars in general changed production status today due to lack of parts.

Hey Mate, Have you tried ringing around to some other Kia dealers? I know that Motorama Kia in Brisbane has 8 GTs coming in with no names on them yet.

Collected today, incredible car. Resisting the urges during the 1000km break-in will be a challenge, but I'm going to try to knock those out as soon as possible.

I've always thought the VF is a pretty good-looking piece of machinery but the Stinger looks so much more modern and aggressive alongside it. Also the roofline is so much lower than the VF.

I feel for you, mate. As others have said - you will get your car and it will (likely) be the finest form of Stinger possible - with the facelift's extra features and the new logo. It will be worth the wait! And I suspect once they get parts, it will go back to scheduled status again. Hopefully it will only be a one- or two-week delay.

Thanks mate. I'm Perth. I have not tried ringing other dealers. Might try that now. Any dealers with stock seem to be asking higher prices on carsales. But can't hurt to ring and ask.

Manic, which colour and trim did you order, and was it a GT?

I got micro blue and a 330s.

In Canada they seem to have now discontinued this colour so wonder if that is related. Doesn't explain the repeated changes in build status over this time though.

I wouldn't use Canada as a barometer, we have an unusual feature/colour mix, for example we don't have the red leather option anymore, and when we did it was only offered it with SWP. (IIRC) No 2.0, or 2.5L option, only AWD, etc. I think its sales data driven, they just didn't have enough orders in that colour to keep bringing it in - I rarely see any Stinger in any colour than black, or thunder grey.

The wait will be worth it for you

The Vehicle carrier 'Ruby Ace' has just unloaded Kia vehicles at Port Kembla, NSW over the last 8 days.
Ruby Ace docked in Melbourne last night and is unloading cars now. She is expected to depart Melbourne 6th April on Route to Brisbane.
NSW and Vic folk should already be notified of arrivals. Good luck to you. Queenslanders are next.

I have also been following "Dream Beauty", It left Uslan in Korea a few days ago and should arrive in Melbourne by the end of this week / Early next week. Although my dealer has not given me a name of a ship, the dates line up perfectly with the estimated delivery for the end of this month.

Ah ya, forgot about that one, SWP, and Ghost Grey (the Canadian name for the matte grey) had the red interior option.

I ordered mine mid October 21 like you. Expected July. Last Dealer ETA mine 15April, delivery by end of April. I wouldn't be surprised if yours is on the same shipment.

Well I just received an email from the Fleet Coordinator to advise me that my Stinger is now at Production and awaiting VIN allocation. That’s something at least.

Based on others’ experience here it seems that from “scheduled production” to delivery is somewhere between 5-10 weeks. The Dealer reckons they normally get 7-8 weeks notice before it arrives in their lot.

I ordered my Ceramic Grey x Red Interior GT in early January and was informed by the dealer this morning that the car is in compound. This also does line up pretty well with the end of April ETA that others may have received in Brisbane. Thanks !

Things are looking up. I was notified today that my Stinger GT will be delivered either late this month or early May. I'm on the Sunshine Coast. (Ordered early Nov 2021)

I was told that mine was on the Ruby Ace but I've since found the Ruby Ace is not coming to Brisbane. Further information has it that the cars for QLD were probably transferred at Port Kembla. Like you said, they're probably all on the Emerald Ace. Mine is also due this month; same colour combination as yours. Mine is coming from Motorama, Moorooka. Cheers.
