Attached is a little log on a map 3 pull. I've been playing around trying to dial this thing in a little.. I have full bolt ONS, dp, etc etc. What do I wanna see for wgdc under full throttle? My boost seems pretty close to what the jb4 is asking for, and what settings could I play with to dial it in a little more.. experts enlighten me... Am I leaving any power on the table? Thanks

Another top end pull, map 2 this time.. cylinder 4 and 6 consistently mess with me also, 1 or the other, but usually never both, new plugs, double checked gaps

What fuel you using?

Sorry, this is on BP 93 with a few gallons of E85... Maybe a switch to hks would clean it up a little, even tho it's minimal.. I'm just a little confused with the DWP and FF/ wastegate setting. Under full throttle I sometimes feel odd surges, like a boost spike almost

I guess I'm just not fully sure what settings I can play with. The only one I've really adjusted is the DWP without much notice of a difference

Map 2 log was pretty short but timing looks great. You need someone like AWDGT2 to chime in, or check with Burger tuning. have you spent any time on this thread:

Great place to ask questions.

I think without adding meth or CPI, etc. just running map 2 or 3, you don't really need to mess with the default settings on the JB4.

I run Map 7, with meth, and I know AWDGT2 helped me change a bunch of settings when I added the EWG wires, and that added some boost.

Maybe send him a PM to see if he can suggest anything you could be doing differently.

Much appreciated!, first turbo engine for me so there's been a learning curve.. just cyclinder #4 has some deviations which don't seem to go away. Maybe a weak plug that I'll swap out since they're so cheap.. or try hks plugs..maybe 2 steps colder would be beneficial.. I'm also a member on that forum.. I'll post some up and look for suggestions and pm awdgt2

.8 deviation you had on the map 2 log is nothing really. Some would say you are leaving power on the table. I’m ok with that though. Anything 2.3 or less on ign 2-6 is really ok. If it feels good and you are staying under 2.3 you’re fine. Map 3 with 4 gallons of e85 should work. Again if it pulls nicely and it’s not pulling timing, run that. See what the boost does. If you can get peak boost up to 18-19 on map 3 and it’s clean, that’s probably the best you can do unless you add cpi or Meth.

Think I'll try a new denso in cyclinder 4, hopefully I'm looking at the right cyclinder.. have you ever felt little weird surges under throttle? I've looked for em in logs but maybe I'm missing it, I thought maybe it had something to do with the wastegates

How many people are running 2 step colder plugs?? I know denso has some and I believe the HKS are 2 steps colder

I had small surges after adding EWG’s but they were on down shift and would happen in 1st or 2nd when slowing to a stop. They disappeared after Terry had me change my DWP settings.

I experience the same thing with DWP on 50 or 60 right now

Not sure what mine is set at, it was quite awhile ago now. I guess I could look.

same thing here. I have DWP set at 80 though. I need to back it off a bit..

No downpipes? So if I'm correct the DWP is controlling wastegate duty cycle? So in layman's terms a higher setting keeps the wastegate closed longer?

So I just recently started using the feature:

LagFix BETA (DWP) as of v22 firmware:

Added in v22 and newer firmware this feature is used to boost pedal response and reduce turbo lag during routine driving. LagFix is enabled using the (mislabeled) DWP setting on the JB4 user adjustment page. A value of 0 disables the feature. A value of 100 is the "maximum effect". Most report values of 60-80 feel best behind the wheel so feel free to play around and see what works for your specific driving style.

This is what I have set at 80, and that's when I started noticing the surging when slowing down.

I'll bump mine up to 80 and see how it feels, this setting is also used for over boosting issues from cold weather and downpipes I believe as well, or am I wrong

I think that’s different.
