Are rear and front sway bars needed to maximize handling and body roll ?

I currently have a white line rear adjustable sway bar with end links. I also have front end links and am waiting for the front sway bar from whiteline. My question is will installing just the rear sway bar make the car more neutral . I know that was the case with the q50 rs I had and that was the only suspension mod done to the q50. Significant increases should be felt more handling wise with installing the rear first ?

A lot of guys run the rear bar and are happy with the results because the underdamped rear end is the achellies heel of the Stinger, but I ran the rear bar only for a year and while i was happy with the improvement the front bar was also another big step up. I felt like the car felt more tail happy with just the rear bar, but the addition of the front made the car more neutral and greatly improved turn in, steering feel and reduced the front roll by a lot.

How do you guys run the sway bars, hard or soft, same front and rear? I have the WhiteLine sways coming with adjustable end links. I’d like to know the best way to run them.

TIA

I run the front soft rear hard. I have the ARKs. I installed the rear first and the front a week later. The rear helped, but the biggest difference was the front.

Eibach here. Ran the rear bar for a year and a half, then added the front: and I thought the rear bar made a big difference, but adding the front completed the handling improvement even more than just the rear bar. As already observed above, I too noticed the consistent steering feedback with the added front bar: it was a really big improvement. Michelin PS4S here most of the year; but my A/S tires also handle much better with the full set of sway bars, mainly because of the improved steering consistency. I don't track the car so I run on "soft" setting.

Achellies heel of the stinger - underdamped rear end. Learning everyday. Whiteline has messed up my order twice already so I’m really thinking about maybe grabbing another front sway bar from another company like eibach or ark and run that front sway bar with the whiteline end links I have. That should be ok right ?

Interesting that the biggest difference is the front being installed as opposed to the rear. I guess everyone has a different feel for their sway bars.

Gotcha front and rear will complete it

I think I might go with Snowwhite, soft in the front, hard in the rear, it's what I was thinking...look what showed up at my door today! I still need to get the Brembo calipers painted gloss grey/or gold with the clear coated red Brembo lettering- still deciding...

I was soft/soft, but before tracking the car went with the stiffer setting front and rear. Love it!

That setting should make the car more prone to oversteer if the car was a RWD. AWD, not sure. It may still since this is a rear biased AWD. Opposite would make the car more prone to understeer. If I was going to do it, and I did, I would go with the same setting front and rear, to essentially keep the car's handling balance the same, but improve the steering and cornering feel. Either setting will do this as compared to stock, just depends on how aggressive you want to be. If you drive around a lot of rainy wet weather, soft would be best. if mostly dry weather then go full stiff. you will love it!

Are you trying to reduce your lap times or not spill your coffee on your drive to work?

There is no "best" way to run them. (it's like asking which colour is best)

There is also the taboo subject of the middle adjustment point (medium) - one side soft and 1 side firm (on a swaybar with 2 holes)
This ALWAYS brings out the opinions.

yeah super important as you mentioned to have the settings the same

I run mine on the softer setting and I absolutely love it. Harder would be good for track days, but everyday driving the softer setting is best.

Gotcha. Will configure soft around town, convert to hard for a couple autocross/track days each year. :p

I had eibach sways on the G. One bar had 2 holes other had 3. Can't remember which was which. What I do remember is the 2 hole was on the soft settings and 3 hole was in the middle :). GL.

Your best bet is to experiment. That's what, 6 combinations...?

Eibach sways soft for both been on for three years next month- perfect.
