Hi Everyone,
I just noticed this on my car today - so if you change the drive mode to "Eco" or "Smart" and then turn off the car and restart, it defaults back to "Comfort"? It's so strange since my wife's Telluride will keep it in these modes after a restart. Is this what you are seeing on your cars? I have a 2022 GT2. Thanks!

I have a 19 GT2 and it stays in ECO if that is where it was when i turned the car off.

The car can only default to Eco and Comfort if either setting was last used.

I wouldn't expect it to stay in "SMART", it isn't supposed to, however, not staying in "ECO" is an issue.

Or, Kia changed it to default to "Comfort" only.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

My 22 (June 21 build) stays in "ECO" if I shut the car off in "ECO". Otherwise, it defaults to "COMFORT". If Kia changed it, it is a very late change.

Can you recheck?
Eco mode is persistent, and will remain.

Smart mode is not.

You mean there are other "modes" other then Sport?? :P

Gee wizz I drove my Stinger off the lot going on 3 years ago, top of the line GT Limited, so I must have them but I swear I have yet to find an ECO or SMART mode. My Stinger only seems to have CUSTOM, SPORT and a sleepy one it starts up on that never makes it into gear.

I stand corrected - if I leave it in Eco or Comfort and turn the car off and then on - they stay in those modes. All other modes will revert to Comfort when car is restarted. Weird - I double checked my wife's '22 Telluride and it does the same, but will keep the Smart mode after restart.
