I got rear ended last May and got sandwiched between 2 cars. My car is almost done in the shop but they are having problem on recalibrating my cruise control after installing a new one. Brought to Kia dealership but can't be fixed. They said it might be because of the lowering springs. Need help guys.

Being lowered has zero impact on cruise control function. How could calibration be impacted?

Yes I know but that was the reason given by Kia Beck And Masten.

Doesn’t mean they are right.

Ask for a detailed technical explanation why the lowering springs prevent recalibration. If they say it’s because the car is too low tell them to put it on a lift and raise it an 1”. Problem solved.

@carlos_gt2 I'd suggest taking it to a different dealer.
I'd suggest trying Westside Kia, they've been great so far and have no issues with modifications.

The collision shoo brought to other kia dealer today. Hope they fixed it.

Your argument should go as follows:
My cruise worked WITH the springs and BEFORE the collision. Fix it or lose the shop time.
Anything but 'yes sir' should be met by a call to the service manager and Kia corporate.

BS

Did you get the cruise to work?

It's been 909 days since the last post ...

I sure hope it has been. Fixed in that short time.

I'm having same issues, dealer did recalibrate and replaced radar. Still no go. Also when I drive for ten minutes the ISG A pops up flashing. They can't figure it out. Service guy said tech support wants to bring in Specialist, however my BMS FMIC and the front end damage that fixed (I bought it this way) they won't warranty the work. Not sure what to do.

I can only guess the alignment of the radar on page #5 here was.... Off!

It is doubtful that anyone other that the dealer will be able to assist you.

The ISG issue - that will need an in depth electrical diagnosis, as ISG touches several systems and has several dependencies
