Hey guys, I'm looking for a shop in the Chicago area that would be willing to do work on my Stinger. Has anyone found a shop that will do mods? I've called around and have been turned down because they've never worked on the car before. Thanks!

Yeah. I’m not necessarily looking for a dyno, but someone that could do spark plugs, exhaust, etc. I’ve found some reputable shops but since they’ve never worked on the stinger they won’t touch it.

@ChiTownStinger if you find someone tell them they can count on my stinger as well. Was planning on regapping my spark plugs this weekend but after seeing how much work was involved to get to them i am opting out.

I found a shop in the city that will regap the spark plugs for about $400... everyone else I’ve called has turned me down and told me to call the dealership.

I’m still looking around. I’ve done spark plugs in other cars but the stinger looks pretty involved.

I take my car out to Komet Motorsports in St.Charles for EVERYTHING. They're a performance shop that specializes in aftermarket enhancements. They've done my sway bars, new brakes and rotors and my oil changes. Best part is, I NEVER worry when the car is at their shop. They love the Stinger and they treat my car they same way I treat it. Another member on here went in to Komet to have new springs installed and the quote was really high. Like CRAZY high but never know...they've always been very fair and cost competitive for me. It's worth a few extra bucks to me to have the piece of mind that my car is in good hands. I think most shops around the city will charge you 400-500 to swap out the plugs. Hope this helps!

For sure! I’ve done verrrry minimal performance modifications (rotors and anti sway bars) but ask away! If I can’t help, there’s plenty of much smarter people on here when it comes to modifications that are willing to share their expertise.
