I went to a kia dealer today since this dealer in Milwaukee WI does not put prices on the website. They have 3 new and one used 21 GT1, I think they wanted 47k. The new stingers were 5k over MSRP. So the GT2 was 58k and the GT1 50,945. There were some GT2's listed at 53k+ on the north side of town but did not want to drive that far today. Maybe when I go there the price will be higher when I actually see the cars.

Sit down with them and negotiate. Have your bottom line price in mind and if they can meet it or get close. The price on the sticker doesn't mean they won't let it go for less.

If they can't, no hard feelings, but they likely will go lower.

My GT had a price of about 47 after markup. I paid much less. The listed price was a joke.

When did you buy that GT? Right now is not so EASY to get the price down. But yes you are correct I should at least ask. I really do like the G70 better but the pricing situation is almost exactly the same, as I have stated before the asking price for their 2022 G70 with the 2.0 motor is 50K and am only interested in the 3.3. The dealer with the most G70's is asking 64K for a 3.3 higher end G70. I wonder if the G70 will be discontinued in USA as they sell even less than the Stinger but many more in Korea.

May '21. So not the peak of craziness, but close to it. Probably helped they had a few Stingers on the lot.

But I got there, saw the markup and immediately told my sales guy I hope I didn't waste my time driving here. He said just start the process and see where management gets, you may be surprised. And he was right.

They'd rather make some money today for sure than possibly more money possibly "some day". Ya know? Good luck.

What is this thread?

Give them a call or an email. Request a serious and final out the door price (grand total) and that's it.

You'll be fine. Good luck!

Thanks sounds good!

How many miles on the used '21 GT1? If under say 5,000 and if they were willing to approach $40k, it would be okay in today's market. $47,000 is new 2021 GT1 pricing.

I think the used GT1 had 15k or more not sure. I have seen a new GT2 for 51k but I don't think that is a big enough discount. That is only 2k lower than the the new 22. These are that dealers on line prices they may be more if I actually went to the
Dealer. I am not going to overpay and letting things get back to normal may just be the best. Although by that time the Stinger may have ended production

Both of those statements are likely true.

$50k-ish sticker is about right for a new 2021 GT2, but in the past there's been incentives and markdowns available. There's not a huge difference in the top trim GT2 from 2021 to 2022, and they may have more willingness to negotiate on the 2021.

Here in MN, the Jeff Belzers dealerships in Lakeville dont believe in mark ups. They always sell for MSRP or less so maybe worst case scenario you could take a trip over here and get a deal set up. I believed that to be true when i saw a new Durango hellcat for only 93k when almost anywhere else its usually 97k-100k+

^^$100K for a dodge... Now that's crazy!

If you are willing to travel to TX, I can recommend a dealership. I flew out of LA to TX and ended up saving 10k over my local dealers The $300 plane ticket was worth it. I was in contact with dealers in MO, AR and CA. The ones I contacted were a bit shady with their markups. Also, use the KIA website to search the national inventory.

Shoot. I’m actually in the market to sell my stinger. It’s a 2018 GT. Still smells like new and has 28,300 miles on it. Honestly don’t want to get rid of it but the wife encouraged me to get something more family friendly. If you’re interested, I’d be willing to let it go roughly around what Carmax etc offers are. Rather see it to someone over a dealership.

Which dealer, looking for a white gt2 with red interior

I ended up working with Bob Utter Kia out of Sherman, TX. Best bet is to find what you want via the national inventory and play around with the zip code and distance. It is not that intuitive on the Kia website but it does work, and its also nice you csn see the maroney.

I contacted Belzers. They have good prices but it's hard to get a pricing breakdown. They just say their price includes all incentives. But leasing incentives are much higher than purchase incentives. In trying to compare buying vs leasing, they make it hard to really compare.

They just keep saying they are honest and transparent on the price. But it seems they won't share the deets unless you come in. As a potential out of state buyer, that won't work for me.

Check the Maroney sticker. If their advertised price is above that then you know they are full of it.
