Can't say I've ever joined a car forum before I owned the car and proceeded to insult the members of the said forum. I'm found plenty of helpful things on this site. I definitely tend to stay away from political issues as I know my viewpoint will be different from most just for the fact that I'm black. But besides that, this site has been great.

The Stinger not selling well is not all about it's dealers, yes, some of them do have a bad rep but look at the market. People are into SUVs, cuvs, trucks mostly. On top of that, there's the brand image/badge snobbery that hurts it as well. I still have a hard time believing that I own a Kia. The name kia doesn't even sound cool. But it's been a great car, bought it new, have out 7000 miles on it in a year. Are there things that could be better? Sure. But for the price I paid for a base awd gt, nothing matches it imo. Was cross shopping the WRX, cheap ass interior, a dime a dozen, and at least 33k, oh no. Definitely glad I bought the Stinger before it's gone. Learned my lesson from not getting a G8 gt or a Chevy SS.

Definitely entertaining for sure. When I bought mine last year I signed for it without even seeing it. I saw it online at a dealer, and called to make sure it was "in fact" on the lot. (Bad prior experience there) It was. Told them I'd be in tomorrow to look at it. Went on Kia to check for financing they approved me, but through my local dealer. I walked in there and they said if you want it we will have it delivered here no extra charge. Done deal. Out-the-door price was MSRP. I was fine with it.

I bought from Hendrick Kia in Charlotte. Couple of calls on a Wednesday, deposit by credit card, Picked it up Saturday. One hour in the dealership. No hard sell on warranty. Beautiful dealership, prices on their website were accurate. Great experience. I think the OP just likes to hear themselves talk. What a joke. 14k deposit was a little excessive anyway. Put a few grand down to hold it, and work the rest out when you get there. When people throw a lot of attitude around, people don’t take them seriously.

It took me 3 cars to find one that was acceptable.

Car a - strange buffeting effect at ~60 mph, like a window was open, but they were all closed. If I didn't know any better i'd say car wasn't breathing right. Vent plug not removed somewhere or something... Car has 12 miles and just came off the truck

Car b - not my color choice but might of been a consideration. At any speed it had a rattle of some sort, like a screw had worked itself loose. Pass

Car c - the one I took home.

I would never put a nonrefundable deposit on any car if I couldn't back out of the deal after test drive/inspection. Hopefully with the higher priced cars the quality is more consistent.
