Car vibrates when break at high speeds

I have noticed, whenever I am at 100+ and I break all of a sudden and try to slow down, the whole car vibrates and I feel it in the steering wheel as well it rocks back and forth.

Has anyone experienced the same or it's a general characteristic of high motion car on sudden breaking?

If not then should I take it to a dealership to get it checked? and if so what in particular needs to be checked in the car?

It's a fairly simple fix thankfully. The factory brake pads are known to be the issue. Is your car new? If so you can have the dealer change the pads and rotors (or just rotors) and then get a different aftermarket pad installed so the issue doesn't happen again.

Changing the pads is pretty straightforward even if you're new to cars and there are plenty of YouTube videos showing how to do it. Or a local shop can do it for you very quickly so shouldn't be too expensive either.

This sounds like the brake vibration problem. Kia appears to be saying "brake deposits", but that sounds bizarre and ridiculous. A common problem with cars and brakes is pad vibration back and forth and if the frequency is just right, it propagates and makes the rotors do the same, this creates some crazy pulsing during braking. IMO, that's what is probably going on. Changing rotors or brake pads (or brakes) may fix it, but neither are necessarily a sure shot.

Yep, changing pads is super easy as automotive stuff goes.

Do you have both front AND back pads in? I’ve been waiting to order. If not when are the back pads going to be in. Thx.

It’s a new car and I have come to the dealer and will be inspecting. If the rotars have issues they will replace it under warranty.

They'll replace the rotors and you'll get the problem again. You'll need aftermarket front brake pads to actually fix the issue.

Yes they replaced the rotars. I asked to change the brake pads and they mentioned that the pads are fine and did break service since the wheels were off the car. Can anyone suggest a good brake pad that I can get? I can go to a local shop and get the pads changed. I am based out of Burlington, Ontario, Canada.
