Suspension Performance and How to Improve it!

There you go. It should give a better perspective of how it looks installed.
Nice! Thinking of getting this as well. So you only got the Front and Rear Mid? or do you have the Rear Lower too?

I went for two out of three available, which is front and mid.
Recently I've installed a new splitter made by Flow Designs Australia. Yes, it was shipped alll the way from aussie land. Totally worth the $350 spent !!

Nice! Just bought the Flow Designs Full Lip Splitter Set/No Accessories, on New Years Day. Friend of mine hook me up and said it would be cheaper to get the whole set, because of shipping cost.

I'm going to toss this here before it gets buried but I put together a post that has info on the various lowering springs and coil overs that are currently available for our cars. Springs, Coilovers & spring rates? What do our current options have?

If anyone comes across any springs/coilovers I haven't posted let me know and I'll update the list.

Kind of a noob question here but which stingers have the adaptive suspension?

I have a 2019 GT Limited AWD (Canada version).

I'm getting the Eibach anti-roll kit installed Friday at the dealership. From what I have read it improves handling quite a bit. I was considering the Eibach coils but unless I am mistaken it lowers the car another 1 1/4" and I don't think lowering clearance will be helpful in winter snow conditions.

All Canada trims except the 2.0 have adaptive suspension I believe. The sways remove most of the excess roll with this car, lowering does help with squat and dive when acel and decel and a bit more roll but not nearly as much as sways.

I have Storm lowering springs for sale, which are only .9 front and .7 rear (that was my noticed drop). I'm in London, let me know if you're interested in them.

Picked it up this morning after the anti-roll kit was installed.

Feels very different cornering. I was surprised how much.

Yep. Did the same thing a couple weeks ago. She squats and holds corners like a champ now, and no “sway” at highway speed. Love it.

Here is some backyard engineering. Should stiffen the steering a bit. Haven't test it on stinger yet though. Will install with lowering springs.20210703_111227.webp20210703_111247.webp

On "stiff"! How's that oversteer? :P

I noticed the too before at decent speeds on the highway if you accelerated you would get some body movement. Hoping that's gone now

Definitely will be gone. I have Eibach full sway on soft and ARK- GTF springs.

Kind of. Anti-sway will make it stay more level in turns, this can allow you to turn at higher speeds, less body roll, much more responsive to directional inputs. The negative is it's much more susceptible to asymmetric bumps where one wheel travels over a bump on one side of the car, but the bump isn't big enough that both sides encounter it. For the same reason it will now corner more level, it will transfer that bump force to the opposite side, which can be a jarring ride and can cause the car to unsettle or become unstable in a turn, especially at higher speed. To this extent, technologies like disconnecting anti-sway bars are now out there, to disconnect when not needed, or weaker anti-sways coupled with active shocks, even chassis that will lower the inside suspension in a turn. I find that a bit higher damping rate helps to calm the stiffer anti-sway bar when none of these other exotic technologies are present. I still feel one of the best things I did to my 2010 camaro was to get stiffer sways and I kick myself for not doing it to my WRX, but again, not without compromises.

Greetings all. I am looking to have sway bars installed on my US 2021 GT2 AWD. I just sent emails to Eibach and Ark to confirm that their kits will fit my car. Ark says yes, Eibach says no. I liked the Eibach because they're cheaper and have the Zerk grease fittings. Has anyone had experience with Eibach bars on their 2021 GT2 AWD ?

That's odd considering Kia directly sells and installs the Eibach kit on the stingers at the dealership. I had them do the kit on my 2019 GT AWD.

They likely just haven't updated their systems, I'm pretty sure we have a few members with them on their 2021's There is a KIA part number database you can check 2019 vs 2021 stock KIA sway bars, my money is on the part numbers are exactly the same

I'm pretty sure we have a member with them on a 2022 model as well. The suspension hasn't changed 2018-2022.

2022 works with Eibach no problem (apart from the usual install).
Not sure how practical the rear zerk fittings are, they are on top instead of on the bottom, if there was a low profile 90 grease gun fitting you’d need at least 3 arms to do it, one to hold the fitting on the zerk, one to hold the grease gun and one to pump.
