Tons of threads on this piece. As I type this I'm not sure if creating another thread was necessary, but wanted to celebrate my first modification.

I recently met up with another member of this forum and bought an M&S rear diffuser that was already finished in matte black, new in the box. Knowing that I wanted it gloss black I went to work.

Paint: Krylon Fusion All-In-One Gloss Black
Clear Coat: Krylon High-Gloss Crystal Clear Spray Paint
Cost: $9
Time: 30mins

If anyone was looking to do this, it's very simple as long as you're prepared. The biggest thing to being prepared is setting up your area. I used my garage, with the door stopped halfway down, so as to provide some ventilation but also not allow the natural breeze to carry in any contaminants that can "land" on your drying paint. Apply light coats. Wait 5mins between coats. Wait 24 hours after the final clear coat before handling, taping, and sticking it to the car.

Have the same one(even same color car). But for the clear i used 2k spray. A lot more durable.

Thanks for the "pop out pop in" optical illusion. :D (taped pic: these things always mess with my eyes)

I had no idea that the pics of these diffusers with five "blades" are fitted over the OEM diffuser.

Looks good. Was this the one for sale in Chicago? I was thinking about buying that diffuser. I might have to order one now.

The member I purchased this from was Chicago-based, yes. It just so happened to work out that we were close enough to meet and have to avoid any kind of shipping.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Looks Great! The rattle can method worked nicely! Now you just need the exhaust, tips, rear spoiler, tint, sways… haha!

Was nice to meet you! Rear spoiler has been ordered. Went with the type S after seeing yours. Will be painted in Micro Blue. Tint likely within the next week or so. Intake snorkels and AEM filters ordered, as well as the rear Stinger script in gloss black.

Gonna roll with that until I figure out my tire setup. Really need to decide if I'm just gonna run some good all seasons or use two different setups. I know all seasons will get me thru our winters, with AWD plus the "cautious driver mod" enabled, I'll be fine. It's actually the flip side to that coin that I'm wondering about. I might miss summer stickies when I need the grip.

Once I figure that out (and it's within my budget), then I'll explore springs, sways, exhaust.

(frantically plants money tree seeds in back yard).

Yeah.

Nice meeting you as well. Powdercoating the wheels with the Michelin Primacy AS should get you through our winters . It did well when I had to drive during the storm we had in Feb. The body color spoiler is going to look awesome!
