• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Alberta Stingers Check In

I may be getting rid of the stinger, in favour of something more German in the next week or so, figured I would post here first that I'll have some parts up for grabs. Who needs some stuff!?!?! ( parts in signature )
I'd be interested in the intercooler and possibly the exhaust

I've got my stock catback lying around too if Tim's doesn't work.

How much cash?? Also my stock exhaust has been modified a little. I had a shop delete the secondary cats
I have the exhaust off the car if you're still looking. $900 Canadian and it's yours.

Just got the recall notice for the MY2019 stinger, only a notice not actual fix yet.. they'll be sending another letter once the fix is ready.

I have had this happen for the third time.
Failed ignition coil and fouled spark plug
2800 km bone stock oem plug
9000 km bone stock oem plug
21700 km JB4 and IK24 densos.

This week when it happened for the third time, they again only replaced one ignition coil and then decided it would be a good idea to put an OEM spark plug in where the one that failed was, not regap it, and not replace any other spark plugs. So I was running 5 Denso's IK24, and 1 OEM. Asked them why the didn't change all of them, and because it's warranty they only do the one. I then asked them how much was it to change all of them and they were going to charge me $560. Went to a buddy of mine, who does high performance cars, performance cars, and he charged me $150.

All in all, very frustrated today. Anyone else having as many issues with ignition coils and spark plugsas I am?

Mine's been fine so far. Even in the -40° we had this winter. no block heater so it was unhappy starting but did every time.

If you hadn't done them already, I would have done your plugs for $150 ;) Only thing that scared me when doing mine twice was the bolt holding the coil pack on the front driver side pack....didn't want to start, I had to be very ginger with it.

My BMW got pissy with the -40....It started just fine (although a little sluggish after sitting 9 hours in the cold at work), but it threw a CEL at me due to a "lean running condition" that I attribute to the aftermarket intake. Put it back to stock and the code cleared after a few days. Now that it warmed up, I put the intake back on, gotta have my turbo spool noises, lol.

Plugs were already done. I ended up sending a very long email to the owner of the dealer. Long story short I’m going to be dealing directly with the service manager going forward.

Was that you I saw in my rear view 50 St. NB x 34 Ave @Timg780 ?

Is anybody interested in purchasing a used ADD W1 Catch Can, I'm located in Calgary, but occasionally drive up near Edmonton/Leduc.

It's got about 20k km on it. Reason for selling: Switched to BMS instead (not cause ADD is bad, but cause zero maintenance is more my style)
