Anyone wrap their own hood?

I have lately been doing a lot of my own mods on my car. There were only a few that I had taken to a shop. I got my roof and A-Pillars wrapped, that seemed like quite a bit more of a challenge than what I want to attempt. I want to wrap my hood in black, it seems to be easier to do compared to other complex shapes. I guess the good thing is it's a pretty low cost to attempt it. Now the big question that I have is and I think I know the answer but my hood does have PPF already on it. It was put on probably right after car was bought or it came from factory? Should there be a worry of paint coming up with the PPF? Is there even a slight chance this could happen? If that is even possible, then maybe I should just wrap over the PPF also? There is very little damage to the PPF so it should be no issue.

Do you have a heat gun (or access to one) If you warm it up it should come off without to much trouble... and other than seeing the PPF line it won't hurt to go over it either
The hood should be pretty easy to do, I would remove the "vents" for a super clean install also make sure you leave enough on the edges to wrap and go under the hood edges

Luckily the ppf is the entire hood so there would not be a noticeable line mid way on hood like some ppf applications. I might give it a try when it warms up

Does anyone know dimensions of the hood? I am trying to figure out what size of vinyl wrap I need to get, last thing I want to do is get something that is like an inch to short. My car is currently on jackstands at a friends house so I can't run outside to measure.

I think the rolls max out at 72" wide so I would get a 6ft length by 72" to ensure some extra coverage... or get an extra foot to CYA... and an extra foot isn't going to add to the price much

I ended up getting it done at a shop near me. I have since moved on from the Stinger platform. I did start wrapping my new car though. If you ask if it's something that is doable, then I say yes! The only issue you may have is getting off the shark fin antenna, that isn't to difficult and the rubber molding can be popped off. I ended up paying like $700 for a shop to have it done.
