Hello everyone

I’m new to the forum and also the new owner of a 18 Ceramic gray GT1 rwd.
Hopefully this is the right area to post this, I just noticed both of my front rims don’t appear to be sitting flush with the wheels and kinda stick out some. It’s night here so I tried taking the best pics I could but is this normal?

PS: also just notice the scuff on one of my rims ‍♂️

I'm not expert when it comes to machining wheels that have been curbed, but this may be the case where an owner/dealership tried to fix the curb rash. Doesn't look terrible and the pictures probably don't do it justice. How did you notice it in the first place?

It's possible the first owner curb rashed the rims... what size tires are on the car?

I would have to check, but I believe it’s the size of the staggered stock wheels from the research I did earlier.
I only noticed it because it looks off with that gap around the rim and tire. Almost like someone removed the rim from the wheel but didn’t put it back on correctly.

It’s only like that on the 2 front wheels and I’m worried it’s a safety hazard.

Some tires have a "rim saver" or extra wide bit of rubber near the rim to protect the rims... those look like Falken's not sure if they offer that. But I don't think they would hold air if they aren't seated properly

If you're talking about the wheel and tire fitment, they come like that. The staggered set up will cause this and its from the factory. 225 width (8" wheel) in the front and 255 width (8.5") on the rear.

If not, have the dealership check it out.
