So I just bought my first set of wheels and tires for my Stinger. But for some reason the front seems to not fit? I researched on fitment industries on the same wheel size and tire size same as mine (20x9 245/35r20) but the front wheels won't fit since it collides with my suspension. But I saw this on fitment industries' gallery, but for some reason their measurement seems fine. Didn't even need spacers. So I resulted to putting 25mm wheel adapters. I mean it fits now but I'm just scared of wheel spacers since it's the first time I bought and used it on my car.

Is there something wrong with what I did? I have the same wheel measurements from the picture I've attached. I just want to know what else I can do other than use the spacers since all I've researched about the spacers are 50/50 so I'm really on a dilemma.

Here are the specs for my wheels:

As you can see the offset for my fronts match your rears and my offsets front and rear are almost the same. But, LOL, I just now noticed the rings in the bag of lug nuts; I've had these on and off four times already (just yesterday, off for the winter), and only now did I actually see the spacers. You said that yours are 25mm?! Surely, that is overkill. You have quite a bit of poke in front (hard to see the rear in the pic). I think that you could get away with a lot less? Somebody who's a real "car guy" needs to get on this thread and educate us. By the way, I haven't had the slightest issue with my TSW wheels, and I've cornered hard enough to get the Michelin PS4S to start making music; and had the car over 130 MPH.

Yeah it was my only solution at the moment since I can't return the wheels since I've already mounted the tires. 25mm was the only clearance i could get from the shocks on the front wheels. But it's not poking out like an off-road vehicle anyways. My only concern is if it will damage my wheel bearings in the long run.

those look like hubcentric rings to ensure the wheel is perfectly centered before you tighten down the lug nuts. sometimes, not having them on can lead to some vibrations at speed, but sounds like you haven't had that problem.

spacers go through the lug bolts as well.

Cool. I've never knowingly laid eyes on a Spacer in my life: been reading about them for literally years by now, on here, and only hold an intellectual knowledge of their purpose, without knowing what they look like. :D

So are hubcentric wheel spacers more on the "safe" side?

Hubcentric wheel spacers are basically the safest kind of spacer you can use. Most of the horror stories you will read online are people who are running either very cheap steel Ebay spacers, using non-hubcentric spacers without extended lugnuts, or just flat out installing them with no knowledge on what they're doing regarding lugnut torque, not tightening them down in a star pattern etc.

Still in a perfect world you would get the fitment you want without having to incorporate spacers. Looking at your front wheels I'd be most concerned with contacting your fender when the wheel is turned if you happen to hit a big bump or road dip because that's looking like a pretty aggressive poke.

You're going to want to install those hubcentric rings, sure you might get away with it but at the moment your wheels aren't hubcentric and the only thing keeping them from shifting around on you is how evenly all your lugnuts are seated/torqued. You might drive like that and never have an issue but it could lead to vibration for sure.

I have a hubcentric aluminum wheel spacer. I didn't install it myself. I had an autoshop do it for me and they torqued it and screwed it in pretty good and secured. I don't go on the track tho. I just rock it in the mountains but not much cornering but some high speed driving so I'm just worried if it will pop off or something.

I also got my wheels aligned so on a full left or right rotation, it's not making any contact on the fenders.

It's my opinion that you should be just fine then.

Thanks man! I'm glad I went on this forum. I get a lot of insights from actual Stinger owners. I guess after a year I'll see if these spacers will do any harm on my stinger. Not sure if my wheels are the problem or the tires tbh. If 20 x 9 is too much for the front wheel

Sounds like your wheels have too much positive offset. Did you go with the +35 that they are running on the front? if so, maybe they posted incorrect specs.

Anyway, spacers are perfectly safe if they are quality hub-centric spacers, that were installed correctly.

What you don't want:
-non hub centric spacers
-deep spacers without their own studs. Passthrough hole style spacers MIGHT be okay with really thin spacers but it is extremely dangerous with deep spacers.
-wheels without cutouts for the spacer attachment lugs to sit in
-spacers with studs that are not deep enough to safely torque down your wheel lugs

I am running 20mm spacers on my car with no problems

take a shot for every time I said spacer

Yeah I'm running 20mm hubcentric spacers in the rear with zero issues so far. Lots of guys are running 20mm spacers all round on this forum too without issues.

I'm sure the rings were on there the whole time. Those Wheel Werks guys know their stuff. I just didn't notice them in the bag with the lug nuts until this time when I was putting the wheels away for the winter. :D

Ah gotcha I thought you had the wheels on the car at the moment.

Now we know why you didn’t have vibration issues.

Thanks man really helpful!! Im just using the 25mm since Im still looking for maybe 15-20mm spacers that will give me good clearance from my suspension. Im just looking for maybe an eibach spacer or any good quality spacer. Right now my spacers are SR Performance spacers but I just dont like the wide look on it but for some reason I got good handling with the spacers when I was driving it fast.

And yes ill take a shot to every spacer and for everytime i googled “are spacers saf”

Not a big difference in size, but I’m running these from Amazon. I posted this in another forum, but I have no problem repeating that thear are the same 20mm spacers found on Khartunerz for 1/4 of the price.
