Canadian Buyers - How much did you pay vs. MSRP?

Has anyone in Alberta bought a 2020 Limited in the last 30 days? A bunch of stingers at 48K with 0%. I don't know about the guy saying Limiteds are at 43K invoice. I haven't seen one piece of solid information to support that.

I've had a number of cars over the last 5 years, Evo X, M2, GTI, Golf R.. Kia dealers are really greasy places with this sales tactics.

Not im alberta. But i recommend looking at 2018/2019 models that havent been sold. Basically what Doug Demuro did.

If you're looking at a limited though it might be worthit to go with a 2020 just for the limited slip diff.

Congrats on your new car. I'm almost at the finish line for my New 2020 Stinger GT Limited(Black). Looking at $45853+tx. With my trade, Ill be out the door at $48424. Just wsiting to hear back on extended warranty prices. Lots of expensive tech that could go wrong over the years of ownership.
You're gonna be very happy with the extended warranty prices, I got the 10 year extended warranty for like $3000 if I'm remembering my values correctly

With 0% and like 4k off a new limited it doesn't really make sense to buy used. Used limiteds are 36-39k at 5.99% that puts your total loan at 44-46k. For a bit more you may as well get a new car. No left over 2019s in Alberta either.

i think i got one of the last leftover red 2019s in GVRD

But for alberta there is a 2018 red limited GT with only 900km on it.

its been sitting on the lot for 3 years tho. Check the inservice date. Warranty is based on in-service date.

That car is $44,400 at 5.99%. The total loan would be more than a new Limited at 48k and 0%. Pretty easy math.

What do you guys think is the better option?
The 2020 at 0%
Or the Neon Orange 2021 at 4% ?

Benefits of orange are tiny, but you get the 2021 model which is a "year newer" when you try to resell it?

yeah if you are loaning it for sure. Thats a ridiculous interest rate.

When i was buying tho, the dealer did mention that I could do 0.9% somehow. But i didnt go with it anyways

how they selling 2021 already? They have stock?? I heard everything is delayed.

I would definitely do 2020 @ 0% if both pricing are nearly the same. Not worth the 4% interest charge.

Are our negotiating margins tighter than in the US? Are any dealers pulling mark up shenanigans?

Any dealers you recommend? I'm in the Hamilton area and drive to Toronto a couple times a week, so any dealership from Niagara to KW is close enough.
Orangeville Kia has the best Deal. I went to 3 dealership and no one could touch there price. They are a family run business and great people to deal with when buying a new car. No BS , just straight and honest .

If anyone is shopping this might be the best deal in Canada. I Kinda wish i would have held out a couple months to jump on this one.

Sounds like Doug Demuro's situatuon - he supposedly got a 2018 brand new, back in January, at an insane price.

Though I got bait and switched into going to a dealership on a similar decent deeming deal, only to find out the auto trader price was their (undisclosed in the ad) cash incentive price.

I would be very very surprised if you can have the 0% at this price. Pretty sure too it includes the 5k cash rebate on the 2019 plus dealer discounts to reach that price.

I am working on finalizing a finance loan for a 2020 Kia Stinger GT Limited in the GTA.

I wanted to know if $2300 + taxes was a good price for the 7 yr / 120,000 km warranty.

I would be happier if it was for the 10 yr 200,000 km but these prices don't make sense and the reality of me keeping the car that long is slim.

Also, as I am just waiting for the car to arrive so I can finalize the deal and pick up my car (this week), we have basically agreed upon a price and trade in value etc

What other things can i ask for at this point? I am happy with my trade-in value, but not happy with the MSRP price of $50,750 + freight, + PDI + taxes, as it seems they focused on getting the right price i wanted for my trade in but not lowering the MSRP. Does that seem like a good price?

Thanks for the help all!

ps I will be utilizing the 84 months at 0% interest payment option

What is the value of your trading car? You might be better with the cash sale rebate and regular Kia dealer financing vs the fake 0% if your trade in is high. Also paying MSRP even on the 0% “deal” is not very good. Aim for at least 3k rebate with the 0% or 7k if doing cash sale + regular financing.

This looks like exactly what you would get from kia.ca
If you haven't yet send that offer to other Kia Dealers in the GTA. I would reach out to Orangeville Kia, they seems to be the Stinger Dealer for Ontario, I got mine there and no one even countered the deal they gave me.
Also if you are ok with a new 2019 GT Limited check out Auto Trader. There are a 2 in Ontario listed for around 43,000.

@Jayphil - I think they made up for it on my trade in... my trade in is a 2017 Toyota Prius with about 56,000km on it... they gave me $18,750 for it, plus I save another couple grand on tax savings, so about $21k total... and I owe $23k in it at 2.99%, so getting out of that... maybe that’s where I am missing the little extra off MSRP?

@Bogey - I sent it to another dealer and they couldn’t beat it by much on a demo 2020 stinger with $6k ... they told me it was a good deal too but don’t believe everything a dealer says lol

so, is it a go or no go for extended warranty?

2k below msrp for a limited 20th anniversary.
