Hello,

This 2019 stinger part came down today after I went over a slight dip in the road. Can anyone tell me what it's called and if it is expensive to replace? It feels like a particle board-like material. We had to cut it away to drive it, but I'm worried about what it does. Is it a water protector?

Lower deflector 29110-J5100

Hi. Undercarriage panels are absolutely necessary to prevent road and weather damage/attrition. I ripped both front panels up by high-centering on a median strip in deep evening. (What a memory!) Yours must have not been attached along the front, which means someone is very remiss!o_O:eek::mad: And yes, they are not cheap. Mine cost $553.32, and $74.80 to install. Part number for that front one is either 29110-J5100 or 29140-J5300: I can't tell from the invoice which is which.

(edit: ah, look at new posts before posting. 29110-J5100 it is then. :p $295.68 List; $268.80 Net)

Maybe someday there'll be a tougher aftermarket replacement, like the Primitive Racing model I have on my Legacy GT Wagon...Would likely add weight, however.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
and $74.80 to install.
Wait... they charged you $75 to put in some screws and plastic clips? I'm in the wrong business. If anybody needs their panels replaced, let me know. I'll do it for $60 :)

Lower deflector 29110-J5100 YES THAT IS THE CORRECT NAME AND PART #

EASY TO REPLACE!! GOOD LUCK!!

Can anyone verify that this part number for the 2018 stinger premium is supposed to be 29110-J5000? I need to replace mine and when I check the J5100 part the websites say this doesn't fit the 2018 or 2019! TIA

FRONT Lower deflector 29110-J5100 YES THAT IS THE CORRECT NAME AND PART #. $277.00 in the orlando FL area dealers. if you are in this area I can install it for you for $25.00
this is ONLY for the v6. the rear deflector has a different p/n and varies if v6 or I4.
the 4 cyl. uses a different p/n and has a different shape.

Don't just leave the undercarriage uncovered, its there for a reason Kia engineers had in mind aerodynamics and also protection for internal parts, if a stone hits engine or hoses its gonna be much much more costly for you.

Well if Kia had designed the undercarriage cover with either a heavy-duty plastic then the owners wouldn't have to buy the cheaply made part again and again.

again and again.
My "new" ones still look new. Only damaged ones will ever need replacing. The OP's front panel was not put on correctly.

Mention the engine size to the dealer parts department The part is different depending on the # of cylinders They’ll give you the part number but you don’t have to buy it there

Dealer, they get those in with the rest of the parts and they don't pay a lot for shipping. Shipping that part will cost more than the part itself. I got mine for $200 since i knew the parts guy and plus I spent over 1k already with them lol.
