Reverse and license plate lights

The plate lights are LED, but not the reverse. I'm tempted to upgrade them to LED too.

I typically don't give a hoot about LED lights but I must admit, I REALLY notice the cool-looking bright white LED back-up lights on my wife's Genesis Sedan. I never cared before but after that - I'm thinking differently. It's something you rarely see on a vehicle but when you see it - it makes an impression. Strange - but it does...

The puddle lights with the Genesis logo are also awesome. Does the stinger gage puddle lights? My forte does, so I’d hope the stinger would.

The Stinger has nice bright LED puddle lights under the mirrors that illuminates automatically when you get close.

Cool, good to know! Now I just need the 360 camera and wireless charging in the ‘19s and I’ll be good to go.

Also LED lights in the door handles as well.

What size bulbs are the reverse lights? They look easy to change and assuming they are a standard size can be switched to LED.

I do only because they last forever and have a significantly lower current draw than incandescent lights.

The more LEDs, the less maintenance and the less load on the electrical system.

Also, because LEDs draw such low current, a manufacturer could potentially use much smaller gauge wiring which makes the car lighter and cheaper (hey, every little bit counts; copper is heavy and expensive)

The fact that they are small and put out nearly 0 waste heat also means they can be placed in places that would previously been impractical (like door handles).

The downside is they're currently ore expensive than incandescent bulbs.

I actually just swapped out the reverse lights for Philips Ultinon LED bulbs. I was hoping to get much more light coming from the reverse lights with these bulbs but they only give out a little more than stock. But they are 6000K so they are very bright white. Looks great IMO. For $25 can’t go wrong. Now I can say my Stinger is 100% LED.

need a pic , can you put a stock bulb back in 1 side and shoot it when dark ,Thanks

I tried and I couldn’t get a good picture. It was all blur. Sorry bud. It’s worth the $25. I would go with something brighter than 150 lumens if you want something significantly brighter than stock though.

Ok. I looked again, now at night. They are pretty much the same brightness as stock
