Drag/Acceleration Kia Stinger 0-60 MPH Times

Several new 0-60 records in the past few weeks for those that don't have the dragy app installed....
Also if you click on the entry in the app you can see the mods.

Question for water/meth users... Did WMI improve your 0-60 times? I recently installed WMI on my (using JB4) and despite a few days of tuning, analyzing logs, and pushing my settings to the max while keeping things safe, I'm only barely seeing improvements in my 0-60 times over Map 2 on my JB4.

Case in point. Last night I was doing runs, and the best time I got was 4.13 using WMI. I then switched over to Map 2 and my best time was a 4.18 - all on the same night. I use normal launch control on my 0-60's, I don't use the brake snip or e-brake method.

The 4.13 time was using Map 7, 60 additive, signal scaling at 90, and minimum boost set to 7psi. Using more additive than this begins to show some dangerous timing retard, primarily in cylinders #3 and #5.

My fastest 0-60 of 3.94 was using Map 5, with E30 and Boostane. I'm slower on meth. The things I've changed since that 0-60 time are the addition of WMI (obviously), AP intercooler, and 1 step colder plugs (Brisk Silver Turbo plugs, used to be on regapped stock plugs). Thoughts?

What water / meth mix? 50/50 doesn't seem to do much. Cooling on the top end mostly. 75 + mixes add more power. When I added Wmi to my ecu tune it didn't very little I until I had the timing turned up to take advantage of the extra octane and a little more boost. I'd say it dropped a tenth 0-60 and .4 in quarter and added 5 mph to the trap.

All fast cars use 100% meth :D

Just set the slip record 11.4 time on 90/10 but my dragy record 11.0 was 100% meth. Both 600 ML. But agree I'd go at least 75 or 80%.
I was 90/10 when my meth line blew off. If it was 100% my Stinger may be a pile of ash now.

I miss meth. Really kept the weight off.

It's official, I'm never adding meth...
Just don't add meth with quick connect fittings. Stainless braided lines or nylon with screw connections.

I saw the biggest improvement when i increased meth. First was 70%, then 80‰ with additive set slightly above 80, scaling at 65, and psi at 3. I'm snipped and launch around 2600, without the flashing "A" (beast mode). From there, its a matter of seeing how your ECU corrects timing to accomodate the additive increases. If you bring the scaling down a little and lower the psi, it seems you can concentrate on additive and timing increases and uniformity. Without a flash it takes a while. Its a slow process for me, as it seems the ECU slowly adjust and plays along. Datazap helps with breaking down the logs. Will Hatzer has helped and this is my observation so far of getting better times without a tune. Just my 2 cents. Hope that helps Todd

Signal scaling has no influence on performance, it is just to calibrate the flow needed for JB4 to recoginize full flow in adaptive maps.

Yes. I'm using 3psi to have flow before shifting to 2nd, and additive for timing increases. I've noticed flow changes from lower to higher values. I'll make small adjustments to see if I can correct higher additive values. Started at 60 and now 65. Do you have a value or configuration that you've had luck with?

I use 95 scaling but I haven't noticed any difference changing this value. A lower value sometimes hides air bubbles in the system so I like to keep it high. For min psi I use 5psi, but I do most of my testing from a 40mph roll.

Really appreciate the info, everyone.

Have you guys noticed any difference from using Map 7 vs equivalent target values in Map 6? According to my logs, I don't seem to be hitting full boost in 1st and 2nd gears - it's not until 3rd gear when I finally hit what seems the max amount of boost. I was thinking that if I used custom values in Map 6 maybe I'd hit full boost earlier, assuming that there is some algorithm in Map 7 that slowly increases the boost additive for safety...

Here's an example... This is using Map 7. 60 additive, 90 scaling, and min boost at 7. This was my best WMI run so far @ 4.13s, according to Dragy.

And here is the Dragy slip associated with the above log....

And the same Map 7 settings doing a 3rd gear pull from ~20mph up to redline.

Using 50/50 right now (Boost Juice). So, it sounds like I won't see much more power with my current mixture?

Damn... I was under the impression I'd see significant increases over Maps 1&2 with even a 50/50 mixture of WMI. I'm a bit disappointed, as I was much faster just using an E30 mixture. :(

It won't add much power but will be faster due to cooler temps. But you will notice this on the top end. Normal for 3rd gear to have more boost even on ECU tune. 1st gear is so short and 2nd is short and starts at a higher RPM so doesn't build as much boost. All the gears 3 and up should build max boost.

Gas anybody here tried the EWG connectors? Any changes in 1/4 or 0-60 times? I have a set and will install soon, though I have lost any hope in them doing much. Lol.

They change a lot the way the car feels

New record for me, and an even stronger #1 position for the Genesis crowd.

No brake snip.
