Headlights and exhaust

Hey all,
anyone have issues with the headlights being aimed at the top of the trees...LOL
I am taking mine in for a service call as every car I pass flashes their lights at me like I have my high beams on. I looked around the forum and online and it looked like something I was not going to mess with, so I am taking it in to get adjusted. Its a 2020 GT2.
I could be a 1/2 mile away from a highway sign and the sign is lit up from the stinger...I mean lit up...its crazy how high and bright the lights are.

Next thing.
Does anyone local (cincinnati area) have a borla exhaust on their stinger. I am thinking about getting one, but wanted to hear it in person first.
I like loud growling exhaust, but not so much the high pitched whine...if you know what i mean.I dont want it to sound like a vintage civic with a tin can on it....LOL
I am used to loud, but deep low exhaust from previous cars like mustang gt, camaro 2ss, and my shelby cobra.
I know the stinger will not get as deep low as those cars, but I want to stay away from the high pitched whine. I dont know what a V6 sounds with a good exhaust on it.
 
My headlights were aimed perfectly from the day I drove off the lot. There is a perfect cut off right at other cars belt line.

I’m with you, I like deeper exhaust note. That’s why I chose MBRP.
 
Interesting: the common complaint with MY 18 and 19 has been that the headlights are aimed too low. They certainly were with mine. I finally raised them to "other cars belt line". Maybe Kia listened to the "lights are too low" reports and sent some MY 20 cars set too far the other way?

Looks to me like the high beam is on (when it shouldn't be, obviously.)

Can you take a pic up against a light colored wall from a short distance, like 20-30' or so? The low beams have a very noticeable "notch" at the top of their coverage where they converge, but that disappears when high is also turned on.
 
Yeah it looks that way, but they are not on.
I thought the high beams were on at first too so I tried them and they lit up even more area.
I have seen the notches against a wall and when they calibrate on start up, but I dont see them converge if you mean they are supposed to go together.
They seem to stay apart and I see them in the trees and such when I get to a dark road.
When I get on a 2 lane road I have my hand on the lever so when people flash their lights at me I flash back so they know I am not trying to intentionally blind them. :-)

Yes, clearly your low beams are angled too high. Look at the lower edge of the pool of light; out in front of the car. Normally, this edge is completely hidden from the driver. As I said, the common complaint last year was the headlights angled too low: such that the upper edge of the pool of light was visible on the road c. 100 feet out (or some asserted even closer than that:eek: ). Some of the pics posted to illustrate this did look impossible to drive safely with. I did very little night driving. And it was more than a year after I had my Stinger that I got a No. 2 Philips screwdriver with an 8" reach and adjusted my headlights up; after a few days, I adjusted them down just a bit (deeming that I had set them too high, and my headlights were shining directly into the side mirrors of most vehicles), and there they've stayed ever since.

The adjustment is very easy peasy: just make sure the screwdriver is seated fully in the adjustment "teeth" and be ready to make lots of turns, because the adjustment is very fine and slow. You can tell your progress on the wall; lay some tape across the top or bottom of the light pool on the wall. I parked back c. eight feet and raised my upper edge c. 2". (sorry about the out of focus light - camera focused on the faux vents instead, heh; but you can see the difference if you look at where the "notch" falls on the siding):

Adjustment was made by the KIA service department.
Since it only had 500 miles on it, I didnt want to mess anything up.
The service manager/tech told me that the adjustment was done by computer.
I am sure it probably was able to be done by hand, but I was not going to give it a try at this time.
Drove in to work this morning and everything looked as it should.
