Have any of you had experience in using a ceramic wax or coating? I've read mixed reviews, some of which mentioned that it can cause the finish to slightly dull on darker paint.
TIA

I have never seen negative "reviews" of correctly applied ceramic coatings. I have CQuartz 3.0 which I applied myself. Like glass.

"Ceramic" wax is marketing BS.

Ceramic coatings are awesome, have no fear.

What kind of pricing have you seen? I've heard 1-2k for the entire car

Cost me $40, although it's gone up a little since then.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
If you are completely happy with the current state of you paint work, being it’s not all scratched up and has swirl marks, just give the car a good wash with strip wash soap (Adams polish sell some) decontaminate the car with iron and tar remover and wipe the car down with isopropyl alcohol and apply the ceramic.
People who charge high amounts for the job are doing full paint restoration before applying the ceramic. I had this done, cost me $1200au
But now that I’m fully versed in car detailing, I’d do it myself. Did my mate new Cx5 the other day, just a thorough clean and applied CarPro Uk

I think the OP is enquiring about "ceramic" wash/waxes as against ceramic coating. From what I've read these provide temporary water beading and ease of cleaning but need to be reapplied regularly.

I recently tried McGuires Hybrid Ceramic Wax on our Seltos, have to admit it’s pretty impressive. Stupid easy to apply also.

Has anyone here ever used the Nexgen ceramic coating? I’m getting ready to order some detailing supplies and I’m curious to what people recommends.

Can 100% confirm that it does not dull on darker paint.

Are you ceramic "coated" or ceramic spray/waxed? It looks coated to me. While spray/wax products looks and performs well, it does not last long enough for my taste. It's a decent product if you reapply it frequently.

All I know is that their ad's on FB is very annoying. :P Seriously though, since they do not disclose the % of sio2 in their product(most company's don't), I am positive this product will perform and last just about same or worse as off the shelf products.

On what planet does a ceramic coating/wax dull dark paint? My car would like to have a word about that..

There's benefits to doing the ceramic"waxes" and not a full-on glass-in-a-bottle coating, especially if you're doing it yourself. It's a lot easier and cheaper for me to apply that every 6-8 months than it is to apply a true coating every year or more, but still have to maintain it and if I need to get it off to correct something, You're taking anything from polish to possibly sanding, to get it off.

you paid over $1300 ?
how long ago was it ? how is the paint now versus when they did it ?

Could you do this outdoor though ? with all the pollen and dust around, I would assume that doing ceramic coating would be done in a garage or something ?
how long would you say it would take to do our Stingers?
