3.3TT Exhaust gurgling or bubbling inquiry

I recently added the MBRP SS exhaust + SSR midpipes and did not hear any bubbling or gurgling after it was installed that day. (Also have intakes + OCC but that's irrelevant on the sound from exhaust I think?)

After it rained (been crap weather here in Texas past few days), I started to notice a "bubbling" or "gurgling" sound AFTER taking your foot off the gas for a little bit. It's nothing too obnoxious or annoying, but I have noticed the sound coming from the exhaust, almost like it's from the tip?

My question is, is this due to the rain or is there a possible exhaust leak?

I am planning on taking my car into an exhaust / muffler shop to make sure connections are tight and there are no leaks. I was also told by my mechanic friend that when he tried to install the exhaust, I will have to check the fitment if I start to have any issues since he mentioned it was very "tight" -- he says he tightened very well etc

Does anyone know if this is actually a leak or normal after it rains a lot? I am planning on taking it into the shop, but wanted some tips or pointers before possibly heading in since my schedule is kind of tight this week.

Yeah, it sounds like that.. I actually don't have any exhaust tips on yet and was going to visit the shop soon to see if they can fit any custom ones. I also heard some people powercoat the OEM tips?

Do you have any recommendations? I'm not sure if the exhaust tips will make that much of a difference, but I'd like to try.

Powder coating the exhaust tips black is a really nice look imo, I've seen another stinger in my country rocking the black tips and it suited the car really well.

I personally went with black marble akrapovic tips because of the shiny finish and non oval shape, however I had to get custom piping made in order for them to be mounted. So I guess you could order some tips online but make sure they fit the opening of the exhaust cutouts and be willing to get work done to ensure they fit.

For me personally I had a lot of drone when I was using the stock tips set up but after changing the tips to the current ones the drone noise went down significantly.

Increased noises such as you're describing are normal. As the fill material in the mufflers takes on heat cycles and settles, those beautiful sounds will be present. Rain has nothing to do with it. Checking clamps after some time is a good idea, though.

It's normal but it's only noticeable inside the car in certain conditions. I find that coasting to a stop at low speed is typically a guaranteed way to get those loud burbles

For me the drone was apparent from 1.5k to 3k RPM but i did a muffler delete so it's expected compared to a proper exhaust set up that has significantly less drone. I would go for the JSR tips as i think they look really nice however they only offer gold and blue tips which isn't my taste so it's up to you at the end of the day.

Ill try upload a video showcasing the drone i had on my first set up with the muffler delete and the stock tips.

To reinforce what others have said, its perfectly normal. I also have an MBRP catback and I hear it quite a bit. Basically every time i let off the throttle it gurgles 3 or 4 times. Coasting at the right RPM will make it burble continuously. There's a long hill leaving work where it will do it for a good 15-20 seconds if I'm in the right gear. I've been told its audible outside too

I was wondering how long does it take for the material to fill up. I’ve had my MBRP for almost 2 weeks.
