Has anyone else had the dealership they dealt with (I dealt with RonTonkin Gladstone Kia) compel them to purchase an external GPS tracker one year contract (ZazzGPS - purportedly installed for “theft protection”) as a requisite of their incentive / rebate package? I had never heard of this and objected to it .... but it was an end of year purchase & there was literally only one other 2019 2L RWD Stinger available in Oregon / Washington.

Dealers will come up with all kinds of add on gimmicks to part you from your $$$. Just decline them.

You've been scammed.

I would call KIA corporate and file a complaint.

You also will get a survey that the dealer will bend over backwards to make sure you give nothing but positive reviews. You can let them know, that won't be happening.

Also, their Google listing might warrant a negative review.

The deal I got still ended up being a very good deal. I did write a negative review of the dealership.

You weren't "compelled" to do anything...you admit it was still a good deal yet here you are complaining about it. Obviously you didn't find it offensive enough to walk out the door, but just enough to piss and moan on the internet...

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

To receive the financing package offered, I was indeed compelled to purchase one year of the GPS coverage, just as I was compelled to finance through Kia finance company to receive the discount I received. The intent of the posting was to see if other dealerships were also packaging GPS coverage as part of their sales. The purpose of the section of the forum I posted in was to share dealership experiences, good or bad, which is what I did.

No, you agreed to the deal you were offered. Unless you were held against your will and forced to sign paperwork you weren't compelled to do anything. If you found the experience so bad walking out the door is your solution. What this sounds like is buyer's remorse and of course the internet gives you a venue to vent.

Satans fist, You have no clue and you are rude. I have no buyers remorse, I’m quite happy with the purchase and with the Stinger. It is common in this forum topic to share experiences with dealerships with other prospective buyers and that is what I have done. You have no clue as to how I “feel” and you also have not contributed anything useful to anyone in your responses. This is the last time I respond to you because responding to you is a waste of time.
