3.3TT Fuel Injectors or No?

As far as I can tell under the hood, our vehicles don’t have fuel injectors. As you can tell from the title, I’m asking if the 3.3TT Stinger has fuel injectors that spray and clean the valves helping them stay crud-free if you will. Main reason for asking Is I don’t see the point of buying a catch or dual catch can system if there are fuel injectors on the engine cleaning those valves as a backup to the GDI system. This is what Toyota does with its new vehicles and it’s been brilliant with adding fuel economy but not cutting on performance.
 
The Lambda II only has direct injection. Thus, our intake valves will have that dreaded carbon buildup slowly lul our beloved horsepower to sleep; but it will happen ever so slowly so we won't even feel the difference until it's too late.

Catch cans won't completely prevent valve build up. The only way to clean the back side of the valves would be WMI or occasional walnut blasting.

Do you think they aren't really worth buying then? Catch cans that is?
 
Absolutely. They do help in carbon build up. They just aren't a 100% solution.
Do you have catch cans on your rig? if so, what did you go with? I'm thinking of doing the ADD W1 V3 that have the custom made bracket for the Stinger due to overall cost and still good quality. SXTH Sense ones are a bit high on price.

I have ADD W1 V3. The second catch can hasn't collected any oil, just moisture.

Do you honestly think its worth getting the second can? Whats your take on replacing the stock paper filter with just K&N Drop-in? I don't really want to take my bumper off and swap out stock system for full CAI replacement.

In hind sight, I wouldn't get it.

I'm still stock, but I'll be going to aftermarket intakes. I'm only aware of one brand that is a true CAI. The rest just replace the factory boxes, so they shouldn't require bumper removal.
 
I've also got dual catch cans, I went with SXTHElement. They're great, very high quality and they look fantastic. But like @Stiletto said, I'm not seeing much oil collected on the front can, but I do see a lot of oil in the PCV side can. So, I think only one is really needed TBH.

Also, intakes are a nice investment. A flat panel filter won't make much of a difference. If you want an intake that's easy to install, check out the BMS intake. Super easy, inexpensive, and still gives decent gains. Plus it sounds cooler. I have an AEM intake, and i really like it.
 
I can’t speak on the effectiveness of the CRC Intake spray, but carbon buildup is some thick tough caked on stuff. I don’t think spraying a solution into the throttle body is going to have the cleaning effectiveness of walnut blasting or occasional use of WMI.

On the catch can side of things, I found the Mishimoto catch can to be more more effective in collecting blow by than the ADDw1 v3.3.

Did you have the ADDw1 and then switch to the Mishimoto? I have the dual inlet ADDw1, but have been curious about the Mishimoto and whether or not it was worth changing.

Yes. I’ve used the ADDw1 (v3.3) and Mishimoto on my Stinger. I used the Mishimoto on my Camaro. There would barely be a drop in the ADDw1 after months of driving. Mishimoto caught more in a week than the ADDw1 caught in months.
 
SXTHElement uses the exact same catch can design as Mishi, it's just the setup that's different. It's very effective. I had plenty of oil in there just after 1400 miles. Take a look...

That’s good to know. I requested to have my order swapped out for Mishimoto. It’s nice to see review of both together.
