Rear door handle lights

I searched but haven’t found anything. Is this possible? The cars I’ve seen with the lights in the door pockets/handles usually have them on all 4.

Is it possible? Yes, wire up some LEDs in there.

I would start by removing the interior door panel, then remove the rear handle. A well-placed and powerful single led pointed mostly downward should be fine. You could drill a small hole and maybe silicone one in or find a kit that can be mounted. Definitely run power to the same relay that the others use to make your life simple.

Yep, I've ordered a pair of front door handles. They will fit the rear providing you trim off the tiny plastic tab. I haven't installed, and wired them up yet. Purchased mine from an korean ebay seller go_smartcar, seller is able to get different colours.

A guy on AU/NZ Stinger Owners Facebook from New Zealand had fitted these to the rear doors & they looked good, he has however sold the car.

“Today I sorted one issue thats always bugged me, thats the rear handles not having the led light or passive entry button, i purchased front door handles and made them work in the rear then wired the led light and lock/unlock button to the BCM all working as if it came like it. Looks so much better and is so handy you can go to any door and unlock it with your hands full”

If you were to look behind a front door panel and the wiring of the handle, you'd probably be on your way.
What you really need is a source for the painted handles.
But it is too cold now in Ontario to contemplate any body mods. This will have to wait 6 months or so for more agreeable temperatures.

I'm gonna try splicing into the front door handles. Ben who did the mod, did a write up on the fb group. go_smartcar was able to source painted handles for me. Just shoot them a message. Local Kia dealerships in Australia wanted $400AUD unpainted, I got them off go_smartcar for $250aud colour coded, wiring hardness, and shipped.
